Taking an active rest day with my pup and the sea
Jon surprised me with a paddle board today and I got to take it out for a spin! Oakley got a little nervous and had to remain floof to skin contact the whole time I gotta say, I've underestimated how tiring paddling can be
Also, just wanted to touch on active rest days! Does this sound like you? You work out 6-7 days a week, incorporating all the good stuff like, heavy compound movements, resistance training, interval training, and cardio. If you skipped a day, youd beat yourself up because "there's no such thing as rest day." I used to be that person... until I learned how important it is to allow yourself to rest and recover. Following this regimen can lead to overtraining and it increases your risk of injury. If you start experiencing fatigue, insomnia, mood disturbances, poor performance, and feeling almost like you have the flu, I'd take a step back and assess your training because it may be likely that you are overtraining.
Usually on my days off I like to l
incorporate foam rolling or yoga, but now I get to paddle board with my little floof! No words can describe how much I appreciate my husband. He's always filled with surprises and spoils tf outta me @berridgejonathon
