Do you remember how when we were kids we couldn't wait to get older and grow up! We thought all the adults in our lives had it so easy. After all, they got to do whatever they wanted or so our innocent little minds lead us to believe.
As we got older, we began to wisen up. We came to realize that this whole adulting thing can be really hard sometimes, like really effin' hard. But, instead of remembering how incredibly brave, strong, and fearless we were as children, we began to let self-doubt creep in and before we knew it, we were in over our heads.
Perhaps you can relate to the feelings I've just described and maybe, just maybe, you are actually at a crossroads in your personal or professional life... probably both, if you're being really honest with your yourself. You know you need to make a change, but the journey ahead seems so long and so hard but sometimes you feel like giving up.
Before you decide to call it quits and throw in the towel and yourself or in the things that matter to you, take a moment to pause and reflect back to when you were absolutely, positively, fearless as a child. As a child you would not have obsessed over the decision making. You would have simply followed your instinct and your intuition. So, why as an adult, would you intentionally make things harder on yourself?
Remember, although the journey may never get any easier, be rest assured that you are stronger and more courageous then you even know. Get back in touch with your inner child. Have fun. Don't overthink it. Just do. Why? Because now that you're an adult you get to make the adult decisions and what could be better than that? - 46 minutes ago
