There are so many variations of these, but here are a few of my favs! This is what I would do after my warm up, and before my workout!

1️⃣ 12 | side step into squat

2️⃣ 15 | kneeling kickbacks

3️⃣ 15 | banded abductors (Hello anterior pelvic tilt- I should have been more neutral)

4️⃣ 20 | glute bridge 🔁 Repeat 2X

I am using a hip circle, but a resistance band (which is usually a little less resistance) might be easier!

1 rep max back squat @ 195lbs...so close to 200lbs, so slightly disappointed in myself 😔 ...felt easy, but hard in that I feel that my muscles didn’t know what they were doing lol! This is the new me. The no glasses me. I have managed to break 3 pairs of eyeglasses in the last 2 weeks of moving. 😳🙄😔With no spare pairs,  I had to get another eye exam and decided to get contacts again as my “backup”. I haven’t worn contacts in 8-10 years. Never felt comfortable in them. Too drying. This is day 3 and so far so good. Stay tuned for new glasses soon. 
On a keto note...eating today has been good. Leftover keto chili with an ENTIRE avocado🥑 for lunch! I tried nacho cheese flavored Quest chips for the first time. They’re ok. Not Doritos, so just ok. Snacked on string cheese🧀 & almonds this afternoon. Made the hubby a giant T-bone steak 🥩and 2 fried eggs🍳🍳 for his dinner. I’m still full from lunch, so I might just have some green tea and a choc zero. 🍫Not mad about it. ✨3 ways tracking macros changed my life✨⁣
⁣
1️⃣I learned how to fuel my body properly.⁣
Nutrition used to seem like a different language to me.⁣
I didn’t understand how to eat for my goals and as a result, no matter how low my calories were, my body wasn’t changing.⁣
Calories in vs calories out plays a major role in fat loss.⁣
BUT what your body NEEDS are nutrients (macronutrients-hint hint)⁣
Focusing on macros ensured I was giving my body what it need to produce the results I wanted.⁣

2️⃣No more restriction (and as a result no more binging)⁣
The binge/restrict cycle was something I struggled with for a very long time.⁣
I was either restricting  to the point of starvation  or binging my heart out.⁣
The beauty of tracking macros is that NO food is off limits.⁣
This helped ALOT  with the anxiety and guilt I used to feel surrounding food.⁣
Plus, I was able to satisfy my cravings BEFORE it got to the point where binging was inevitable.⁣

I keep stumbling across this old photo from when I was 14 and so sure that I was fat! To think I wasted so many years worrying about how I looked to others, when I was the only one who saw myself as overweight. I always saw myself then, as I am now. I wish I could go back and tell myself to stop worrying, because a lot of my overeating was caused by emotional eating due to my poor self image. My mother has always struggled with her self image and I do think that her comments about herself, and occasionally me too (I remember one time when I was about 11 when she told me I was starting to get a double chin all too well) had a very negative effect on the way I viewed my own body. If I can get back to that size, I’ll be extremely happy with myself. This photo is going to act as a motivational tool from now on. If I looked like this before, I can look like this again! .

Keto Gumbo! 😍 This was so delicious! It’s very similar to my chili recipe but instead of ground beef I used the Cajun andouille, shrimp, and chicken!(if you’re a  stickler about authenticity you may not want to make this...no roux, whoops!😛) Such yummy comfort food for this weather, I’m definitely going to make another batch and freeze it for around the holidays! 😊 I put mine over cauli rice and the boys had cornbread. 7g net carbs.

Lesson: If your vision has become tunnel, you are jumping away from the cracks in the side walk because you think they are snakes & feel cold you are probably hypoglycaemic. It's gross but I love feeling sweat dripping down my face when I'm working out; it means I'm working my butt off! 
I'm still doing a 30 minute cardio kickboxing video most days. I try to do the video 6 days a week or go on a hike one day instead 💪💪💪
I've been 171.4lbs exatly for the last 3 days. I don't think I've ever maintained this hard 😂
Oh well, I'll be more worried about it when the next dietbet starts on the 19th!

🎃 pumpkin spice oatmeal for my snack today! 🎃

sometimes when a friend asks for your help, it can be so easy to think of the reasons not to do it. too much time, money, or inconvenience. that happened to me today and i had to gently remind myself that helping out my friends (or even strangers) means that someone will help me when i need it later on. and i know that i will feel better about myself and the world if i help them, too. even if i have to drive through rush hour traffic to do it 😜

I like a lot of things!!! But at this moment I am focused on this stuff...

I am an Architect, but right now I am taking care of my kids, so I stay at home, doing all for the best of my family ❤️❤️... I am a believer of God, and Christ as our Savior and Lord, so I always try to learn more about His Word and trying to apply it everyday... love to write and read, that’s the book I am reading right now, and everytime I want to write I grab my notebook or my phone to do it...I also like to draw and paint, actually I will use thatblue notebook to do two small paintings for two special people❤️
That song, “Silent night”, is the one I am practicing on the piano everytime I can, saying that, once I start, my munchkins start to fight, are screaming or just want to play to... at least I have a piano! 😍
Cards are one of my fav games to play, boardgames aswell, but I use cards to play some quick with my husband or spend  some time with the kids ☺️ I really enjoy it!
Chocolate and coffee at this moment are my sweet cravings! 
My workouts are part of my life now, can’t describe the feeling after doing it every single day!!!! Feel so awesome and cabable of everything!!! Just LOVE it! 💕 
Healthy eating, has become an habit too!, love to see how I am going to put everything on a plate to look it prettier❤️🍃....

TRICEP WORK! Underhand grip to Overhand grip tricep extension (midset switch)⁣⁣⁣⁣

I will most likely be working in a hospital setting after graduation just to gets my nursing skills up 🏥 ⁣

Since my true passion is health and fitness, my goal is to eventually find the sweet spot between both nursing and health/fitness.⁣

Currently not sure on how I’m going to do that YET but my ultimate goal is to have a job where I can intertwine both and get the best of both worlds.⁣

Focusing on bending my elbows about 90 degrees, keeping my body upright, and then extending my arms. ⁣⁣⁣

I’m my opinion weighted dips are very beneficial in building bigger triceps since you are able to go heavy.⁣⁣

After doing my heavy shoulder workouts, I often like to drop the weight and bang out some reps.⁣⁣⁣⁣

Lateral raises are one of my favorite workouts when trying to target my deltoids.⁣⁣⁣⁣
-⁣⁣⁣⁣
I typically train my shoulders the same day as I do my chest. A lot of times hitting chest workouts also hit the anterior deltoids.⁣⁣⁣⁣
