QUADS & GLUTES

1. Heavy Front Squats focused on Strength and Central Nervous System Stimulation. 
2. Moderately Heavy Leg Press focused on higher reps, more blood volume and pump.
3. Lighter Weight Wide Stance Squats focused a very deliberate stretch and squeeze on glutes.

Theres no reason why you can’t benefit from all types of techniques in the same workout.  Don’t limit yourself.

Some of my snatches from tonight.

I wanted to wait till I had a diagnosis to go public but it’s been about 2 months and so far they have ruled out some things but we still don’t know and without an answer there is no treatment. I’ve been having neurological symptoms: blurry vision, numbness in my limbs, tongue and face, tremors, heaviness/ slow reaction time in mainly my upper body, some issues with speech, etc. Also extreme fatigue, some days I only have about 30-40mins of good training then I hit a wall. 
I just got a referral to a neurologist and we have some more tests to do. I’m just sharing with you because I’ve been having some “dark times” lately and it’s even harder keeping it a secret.

What a day for @jennifergodin and that celebration hug with Coach @frisciad3 in the last video says it all❤️ After a long layoff from competition, a complete adjustment in her nutrition, battles away from the platform, and resetting her weightlifting goals for the year, she comes out with a different mindset and smashes THREE competition PR’s while going 6 for 6🤯

Today was an EXCELLENT day! I felt strong, made huge meet PR’s and most importantly...HAD FUN! I told @frisciad3 that I wanted to total over 100kg, squat everything, and go 6/6. GUESS WHAT?! I DID IT!!! Old meet snatch Pr was 44kg, today 50kg. Old c&j pr 64kg, today 65kg. Old total 107kg, today 115kg!!!! Thank you to @lissyditcher @squatalot264 and team mom @kczar14 for video taping, making me laugh, and having complete faith in me. (Although @kczar14 almost had a heart attack each time we went to lift). Most importantly thank you to @elliemae_paige and @frisciad3 for always having faith and teaching me the fun in nutrition and the sport of weightlifting. #FrontSquat used to be easy for me because my quads are stronger than the hulk. After revisiting this exercise tonight it’s clear that I’m still not completely healed from my ankle sprain (hence the plates under my heels). Ankle mobility will continue to be a priority for me!

Reverse band hack squats have been my favorite output leg movement in my programming. I’ve been doing 2 sets total only. 1 heavy set of 6-8 reps. Then a back down set of 8-10 reps. They’re brutal.

Did some 1RM testing for my deadlifts. This was the only week where I could squeeze it in. And before going into the post. I have to give a big shout out to several of the people who I look up to and the have influenced me not only as a lifter but as a trainer and a person. As people know I naturally have great endurance (thanks to dad) but lifting for strength is a different world. Nevertheless, it still requires patience and non stop learning about technique and yourself. So thank you @sbo_ceo @esmietee @numbuh1 for giving me countless tips and encouragement for my current journey. ❤️
So I did a 1RM test, which ends being a PR as well, for deadlifts. 
Attempt 1: 325lbs
Attempt 2: 335lbs
Attempt 3: 340lbs
Attempt 4: 345lbs and no more without technique being really bad. But with that my deadlift went up by 30lbs. If I can keep that average, hopefully I will get this 400lbs by the end of the year!! And some how felt fresh enough to do 3x8 of 180lb front squats. 🤷🏿‍♂️ I tell y’all I have freakishly great endurance. But I’m happy how my latest program is going. Getting stronger and my shoulder is healing up. Everything is coming together.

Haven't been focused on pushing the competition lifts, only variations along with squats but Morgan was moving very well so we decided to let her work up as long as her technique stayed consistent.⠀

Really impressed! She mentioned that she didn't feel as powerful as she normally does and that's perfectly normally in the middle of a preparatory phase after a big meet. Hypertrophy and strength are the focuses right now, becoming powerful will be more of a focus after we conclude this phase of her training. ⠀

Yesterday was not fun. Second rep in the front squat I lost my brace getting into the hole and you can see me wiggle out of the bottom. Felt horrible. Hurdle hop to box jump, 72lb KB swing, trx assisted squat jump were the accessory movements. #frontsquat #mass2 #box jump #trxsquatjumps #kbswing #postactivationpotentiation #lowerbodyworkout #legday

Had a hard workout today. Got up to 230lbs clean with some front squats, in the 2nd video.
