I am LOVING the local finds at my farmers market. The fresh fruit in Hawaii will always have me in awe! I also love supporting the local businesses here in Hawaii and they always have the best variety of fruits and 🍍 🍅 🍉 🍌 🌽 🥕
So, I’ve been on the papaya and pineapple train for quite some time now and I don’t see that changing anytime soon! These fruits can be added to different meal options.
Lately, I’ve been enjoying papaya bowls where I scoop out the seeds and fill half a papaya with yogurt, granola and bananas or strawberries. It’s super simple, filling and nutritious 😍 and YES, I eat half of a papaya in one sitting. I wrap up and save the other half for another snack or breakfast.
Papaya is also a good source of vitamin c, fiber, vitamin a, and potassium. Eating papaya can help promote healthy digestion and regularity.
One small papaya provides about 3 grams of fiber, which is equivalent to just 17 grams of carbohydrates.
How do you enjoy papaya? Smoothies? Fruit salad? Salsa? .
