Growing season is tapering off and I’m reflecting today on how much we’ve gained and learned in our first year - so much!
Our oh so inspiring green bean plants have taken neglect and non stop pests and still provided us with so much over the summer, especially the last month. 🙏
Our four cherry tomato plants have just gone off the rails producing - I keep thinking I’ll have enough to give away but we are keeping up with them just fine 🤣
My container tomatoes of Roma’s, beefsteak, and tomatillos have not faired well but I have loved caring for them anyway. I had plans on putting up tons of Roma’s - the universe knew I didn’t have time for that this year 🤪 next year 🥰
We were unprepared for how much bad bugs LOVE zucchini plants but they did provide us with three very delicious zuccs - I’ll take it! Learn as we go, I’m excited to try again next Spring.
My basil, cucumbers, radishes, peas, were such a joy this season. I only bought one transplant this year as I couldn’t find any seeds last March! It was a Serrano chili plant that was not doing well but I went ahead and planted it and now months later it’s starting to produce 😆 yay! And I’ve got a jalapeño, poblano, and bell pepper plant starting to produce as of late too 🎉
I LOVE watching my baby pick her food and eat it! Whether it’s unwashed and in the yard 🤣 or after we come inside and prepare it. Such a blessing to me that she is already learning where her food comes from 🙏 she LOVES harvesting, ripe or not. 😆
I’m steady making plans for next year and will continue to throughout the cold months. My list is long and getting longer all the time. The world of plants is so so large and I fall in love with something new each day 🌱
Dad (my baby dad) and I are always planning and taking on new projects as if he doesn’t run a business and we don’t have a very hardcore baby 🤣 We are transitioning in many different areas of our life, ever-changing, ever-growing, and ever-grateful!
I’m posting less but I’m sure to share my new endeavors as I delve into the herb, microgreen, and bread baking world this fall! 🍁 - 9 hours ago
