Creating clarity starts inside myself. I have to take the time and energy to feed my physical body in a way that keeps my mind clear.
I use to obsess about macros, meal plans, the next 30 day plan, what my friends were doing, what the girls on instagram are doing. This has been and still is a journey. I have found the peace I have searched for through the 12 step addiction recovery program and OA support group.
I wish I could say that the moment I found it I've been 100% absitent, but thats not my story. I have gone in and out of absitence over the past 2 years.
What I know is that when I give up doing it my way, then I have clarity and the food no longer calls to me. When I take the time to be prepared I am free from all the food thoughts being in my mind.
This is part of my personal war. In this area I need to fight harder. I know how important it is to be at peace with myself, to have the freedom and space to think outside of the food. It matters because my ideas and thoughts matter.
Whatever gets in your way of developing thoughts and ideas is worth taking the time and energy to figure out how to set it aside so that your can find your beat version of you. And your family, friends, neighborhood, community gets your best version of you.
