Old Kourtney would have never ordered that French baguette (even though I love them🤤) or shared a blueberry muffin with her fiancé for dessert (literally had a muffin for the first time in YEARS yesterday️🏼).....but the new Kourtney, with a healthy mindset and healthy relationship with food, most definitely did! And I enjoyed every second of it️🥖🥗🧁
Listen guys, healthy living doesn’t have to = restrictive. It really, truly doesn’t.
“Cheat days” and “cheat snacks” are bullshit and so bad for the mind. I personally believe that one cheat day a week often leads to binging and feeling completely terrible afterwards.
You can most definitely incorporate your favorite foods into your routine and still see wonderful progress. I have seen it myself, with my own body.🏼 Now it’s not like I’m eating a tub of ice cream every night, but when I’m craving a sweet snack and don’t necessarily want fruit, I’ll have an @eatenlightened cookies n cream bar or some dark chocolate covered pretzels, etc. 🏼 I listen to my body and its cravings, track my food, and move on with it.
A LOT of people ask me if I track calories/macros. And the answer is- yes, because I have goals that I want to achieve and I want to make sure I am giving my body what it needs to get there. I use tracking as a way to
stay on track/track progress- but I DO NOT (and will not) let it consume my mind/life. I’ve done that before and I was completely miserable, it lead to me restricting myself and not being able to enjoy life and have fun
So moral of the post: life is too short to not enjoy it!️ If I want a cookie, I’m not going to NOT eat the cookie because it’s “bad”. There’s no such thing as “bad food” and “good food”. It’s just freaking food, some of which may be calorie dense and some may be nutrient dense. But it’s food🤷🏽♀️
When it comes to me personally, I tend to lean toward eating whole foods/nutrient dense foods. They’re what makes my body feel the absolute best. Regardless of what I eat, I track my meals/snacks/drinks on @myfitnesspal and move the hell on with my day🏼 - 2 minutes ago
