Happy Easter ya’ll! 🐣🐰 I have had my mind completely blown this Easter! 🤯 Last night I was talking with my husband and his family about Easter memories and traditions. They said that the night before Easter you have to leave your Easter basket out because the Easter bunny comes and fills up your basket and then your parents are the ones that hide the eggs! I was like “Whaaaat? No!” Growing up it was the opposite for me! Our tradition was that my parents would give us Easter baskets and the Easter bunny would come that morning and hide all of the eggs in the yard and we would be able to go outside and hunt all of the eggs that the Easter bunny hid! We were all shocked that there were different traditions for Easter! 🐣🌷🐰🥚 How did ya’ll grow up celebrating Easter? ⠀⠀

This is one of my favorite tips from my last YouTube video on how to combine cardio & strength in the same session (link in bio if you haven't seen it yet).

Cardio tends to interfere with muscle and strength adaptations if it's performed right before or after a strength training session [1-3]. But if you separate your cardio and strength training by at least 6 hours, little interference seems to occur [4].
-
With that said, most people don't have the time to go the gym on separate occasions for their cardio and strength training. Luckily, there is a way to perform cardio and lift weights in the same session while minimizing the interference effect.

There's good evidence indicating the interference effect is local [5]. Lower body dominant cardio (e.g. running, cycling) doesn't interfere with upper body muscle growth and vice versa. So one potentially effective way to program your cardio is by having lower-body dominant cardio after your upper body training and upper body-dominant cardio after lower body training.

This way, you can likely minimize the interference effect while doing cardio and lifting weights in the same session. When it comes to upper body dominant cardio, think about forms of cardio like rowing, battle ropes, the upper body ergometer etc.

⚔️Shoulder-Workout⚔️
Ich weiß nicht warum, aber Schultern zu trainieren macht mir persönlich mit am meisten Spaß.
Es ist ein sehr kleiner Muskel, der doch sehr vielseitig trainiert werden muss und viele vergessen es, den hinteren "Delt" zu fokussieren.
Dazu gehe ich mal nächste Woche intensiver ein.
Beim Schultertraining kann man schön "klassisch" bleiben, wie einst Arnold! Schönes Kurzhanteldrücken, ob mit Lang-oder Kurzhanteln und natürlich Seit-und Frontheben.
Ich hab mich diesmal beim Schulterdrücken auf die Maschine versteift, da ich dann doch mal mit dem Gewicht höher gegangen bin, um den Muskel schön auszureizen, dabei ist das Verletzungsrisiko an der Maschine natürlich weitaus geringer.
In diesem Sinne fröhliche Ostern und ne fitte Zeit mit der Family🐇💪⚔️

ENG 🇺🇸 On this Easter day I wanted to do something good. Something that would make my pointless existence more worthy. I wanted to go out to run. That would be good only for myself. Why not to collect some trash while doing it? Plogging - that's how it's called...
You can't keep a decent speed while picking up trash so it's really a jogging. And my back hurts from bending all the time. 1 trash bag was full after 11 minutes.
Next time I will take some thicker bags. Don't wear your best running clothes - you will get dirty. Everyone will look at you like you're weirdo.
I want to do this every weekend. That makes me feel better about myself.

Well I'm very happy with my tan and my little shorts! Apart from the last week, I've been eating incredibly healthy! Not touching white carbs, and instead filling myaelf with meat and vegetables and the weight has dropped off (when I don't eat sweets) I would never have worn this outfit last year! .
