Kelsey's amazing Transformation in her own words:
Before becoming a member of Prokos, I found it extremely hard to find a balance between healthy eating and exercise. I was an emotional eater who made excuses as to why I couldn’t be the healthiest version of myself. I struggled to find what worked for myself and my body so I would give up every time I attempted any form of fitness. When I joined Prokos in October 2018 after having my fourth son, Oakley, everything clicked and I finally found a gym and community I enjoyed working out in and felt comfortable going to. Con & Marie opened my eyes to the world of Keto and intermittent fasting which I became passionate about. I finally started feeling like I was getting results and with the two combined, consistent exercise and the guidance of Con, Marie and my husband Mark, I have lost all my baby weight and more totalling 15KG weight loss. Throughout, I’ve gained muscle, confidence, friends, learnt to be disciplined and begun to love myself again.
What is my ‘why’?- After back to back pregnancies, a history of anxiety and the loss of our third son, I knew something needed to change about my lifestyle. For me, exercise and eating the right foods is about keeping my mental health in check and as a mum of four, fitting in some self care through out my week. I deal with the grief of losing our baby boy everyday and I’ve spent my life in a constant battle with my anxious mind, but exercising assists me in processing the grief and coping with my anxiety, to the point that the bad days with my anxiety are few and far between now. Exercise and healthy eating is my natural therapy.
I’m five months into my fitness journey with Prokos and I’m the strongest, fittest and most positive I’ve ever been. Training with my husband and the supportive community at Prokos keeps me accountable.
