Here I am from no makeup to day makeup. The first no filter, the second is filtered, the third black and white!
I had to really consider before posting these. We live in a time when on one hand we are trying to spread acceptance of all and be all encompassing regardless of race, sex, culture and age?
But reality says that we have a long way to go. It is very difficult, especially being a woman and embracing self acceptance at any age. And as we age it becomes highlighted.
A wrinkle here, a grey hair there a sag or a bag. It is all a part of the aging process.
On a good day I just want to say, "what the hell, I damn well earned these", on other days I'd like to mortgage my home and go get my imperfections fixed.
Take care of yourself, eat right, exercise, use sunscreen, get rest and treat yourself well. Try to embrace your "new" looks as they arrive. Our inside essence remains untouched.
Beauty is skin deep, looks are fading and the best face any of us can put on is a face of joy, at every age.
