Well, somehow that fresh garland went from being tied up wreath-style, to finding its way all over my house and I’m not even a little bit mad about it!
There’s cedar boughs on my mantle in the living room and you guys for the first time in my adult life, I have a legit Christmas decorated mantle and it made me laugh like a little girl
And then, I don’t usually decorate in my dining room, but now that it’s been remodeled and it’s my favorite room in the house AND I have this ginormous hutch we built last summer, well,
I had to.
And while I’m a complete novice at using fresh cedar boughs for decorating, I think I did okay. ️
Do cedar boughs need to be “fluffed”? 🤷🏻♀️ I ended up pulling out some of the tiny branches that were wrapped in the wire so it was fluffier. And also learned quickly that if you want it to swag over your hutch (or mantle), you kind of need to cut it in two pieces and have them go opposite directions, starting in the middle? Otherwise half of it doesn’t lay well?
Am I getting this right?
Okay, well, I have a handful of makers’ beautiful wares here on my hutch...tap the pic to see who!
