Trust in God's wisdom.
Many times, we are like Peter in today's Gospel. We question God's will and "rebuke Him." But we need to remember that God's wisdom is beyond any human comprehension. The plans He makes, many times, seem to make no sense — just as Jesus' prediction of the Passion might have made no sense to Peter and the disciples. But we need to trust that His plans are better. There are things we don't see that His perfect wisdom does.
Let's reflect today on whether there are things in our lives that are painful to accept and seem to make no sense. Perhaps in God's infinite wisdom, these were given to us to ultimately lead us to opportunities to love and offer ourselves to others in self-sacrifice.
Just like Jesus did, may we seek to see the big picture and trust that God always leads us to the path meant for us. Things may be tough; they may be difficult to understand. But in faith, we believe that when we follow His lead, things will be as He perfectly plans them to be.
