I’m not a very confident person. I’ve been working on it and everyday is an uphill battle. I was doing great on this fitness journey and keeping myself accountable and motivated. In the recent months I have lost motivation and my stamina to be active and healthy. I love being active and I really love running and hiking. But lately I just love sleeping more. .
I did the Spartan Big Bear Sprint On May 18, 2019. This was my third one. I barely trained and was almost 10 pounds heavier from when I did my second Spartan race but still almost 20 pounds lighter from the first race. Each race has been roughly almost a year apart. I wasn’t prepared but I was determined to just “get it over and done with.” ((I know what a great attitude)) .
It was a very cold day. For the mud dunk and slip wall we decided taking our shirts off was probably the best idea to keep some dryness. I’m not a stomach flashing person... I don’t even like to wear a stomach showing bathing suit. But I did it to stay as dry as possible. So here are the pictures of my jiggly pale stomach playing in some mud. Yes! It was as cold as my face says. Am I happy with my body? No. Will I ever be? Probably not! Am I proud of the fact that my first spartan was done in 2:55hrs, my second one in 2:30hrs and this was in 2hrs?.... ABSOLUTELY! .
What can I learn from this...? It’s not always the size and the physique that matter, it’s the mindset and the fight. It’s about your support system and its about improving yourself and making yourself better. .
