At the beginning of a new year we often look to get out health back on track and often after a month or two we’re not where we expected to be.
The question is now, where do you WANT to be?
Not everyone has the willpower for huge, sweeping lifestyle changes. But the good news is that when it comes to diets, the most successful regimens often require only small changes to see big results. And it's often those who make these small alterations to their everyday routine that see more lasting results. It’s called lifestyle change for a reason!
Here’s a healthy tip: create a balanced plate 🥘
But what does that even mean?? Your plate should be divided into a mix of lean proteins (1/4), healthy fats (1/8), complex carbohydrates (1/8) and vegetables (1/2). Choose complex carbs like legumes, starchy vegetables and whole-grain cereals, while lean proteins include lean meats, egg whites, beans, legumes and poultry. To get your dose of healthy fats, choose nuts, avocados and olive oil.
