I've been playing around with different alternatives to white pasta and just love the taste and texture of buckwheat pasta. It's a great alternative as it's gluten-free, wholegrain, rich in fibre and even contains antioxidants. The butternut squash sauce is also silky and creamy yet still really light. Such a delicious meal and full of goodness😋

Just a chubby mama with a crappy camera who's pants are falling off 😂 its not much but I will take it. Still have a potato sack for a tummy and a ton of work to do but I'm good with that, at least I'm getting it done one way or the other. So can you 🌼 remember diet is 85% of your results to begin with. Exercise greatly benefits these results, but if you simply dont have the energy like me lately I at leasteast want to make sure my diet is clean 🍲

SWEET creamy apple pie oats🥧this bowl was the coziest♨️

before bed last night, i poured boiling water over 1/4 cup gluten-free steel cut oats (@bobsredmill) and let them soak overnight. in the morning, i drained them and cooked the oats on stovetop in water for about 5-10 minutes until fluffy. i turned off the stove and added 1 scoop @nuzest Smooth Vanilla protein (🔑) and a bunch of cinnamon, and stirred in some homemade almond milk.

in a separate pan, i cooked up some chopped apples in a little coconut oil with cinnamon until they were soft and a bit blackened. i did the same with the bananas but they didn’t need as much time to cook.

then i poured them onto the oats, and topped the bowl with chopped up cashews, nut & seed butter, more cinnamon and a single strawb🍓

Our family just returned from a beautiful but very taxing trip to Yangon, Myanmar 🇲🇲 Check out our family travels @viaworldschooling

It had it’s very sweet moments but it was also very difficult and laborious and my body paid for it.

MEASURE UP MONDAY

I am starting this account to keep myself accountable and motivated to lose the weight that I have gained from 2 years of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and then giving birth to my first baby. I used to work in the corporate world with a love of long distance trail running.  During the last few years my love of running has not waned and not being able to has been a huge source of frustration for me. The way I have dealt with my frustrations of being chronically unwell haven't always been healthy... in fact they have been awful. My relationship with alcohol has been self medicating and now habitual and food has become a comfort.  I am 40 kilos over weight, tired, embarrassed and over it! I want my body and my health back and to show my beautiful husband and baby thier beautiful Mum and wife.

Honestly an oval bowl seems cute until every photo looks distorted 😂 this was my quick post-gym lunch today, and tbh I’m pretty impressed. I used a packet of microwave rice and some pre-marinated chicken from coles that I cooked in the sandwich press, then all I needed to do was chop up some veggies 😁 this was incredibly tasty, and also great because I needed to cook the chicken for dinner so now it’s all ready. Definitely something I’d recommend to people that are busy, or just lazy 😂

I’m Kaitlin and I’m just starting this recovery thing. This account is mostly for myself but also to try to help and encourage others!
I want to be honest but I also don’t want to be triggering so I’m going to try and find a balance. 
I’m someone who is triggered easily so I understand. If I post anything that’s triggering to you I encourage you to unfollow, no feelings hurt! 
I get it and I only want to support and lift others up in their journey, not harm anyone.

I’m going to a treatment center tomorrow where I’m going to live for a couple months. 
I’ll be living with 4 other girls who have an eating disorder as well! 
Lots of therapy and lots of steps toward recovery! 
I’m very nervous and I have no idea what to expect... it’s my first time really trying recovery so it’s going to be ugly I think but worth it! 
I’m not sure if I’ll be posting right away as I need to get used to the changes!

Planted my raised garden beds today. It took me about 1.5 hours to weed and plant, but I’m looking forward to the yummy fresh veggies in my own backyard soon!

Melons are so great because they are pretty much just water disguised as food. Because of this, you get lots of volume for little calories. Both these bowls were around 500g worth of fruit and right around 200 calories. I am a boredom eater and during April-June I find myself on the couch watching the NBA playoffs often. Here’s how I pick my cantaloupe. They have been really good this year so I definitely recommend buying one next time you’re at the store.

🔸Find one that is heavy for its size 🔸Make sure there are no major blemishes. 🔸Press on the butt and if it is soft, it’s ripe. If it’s firm, not yet. The butt is the opposite side of the stem. I don’t know what the actual name is but it seems like a butt to me. .

Melons are so great because they are pretty much just water disguised as food. Because of this, you get lots of volume for little calories. Both these bowls were around 500g worth of fruit and right around 200 calories. I am a boredom eater and during April-June I find myself on the couch watching the NBA playoffs often. Understanding how my body reacts to food, and making the right adjustments has been crucial for my well being, energy and a key part of how I manage to stay confident in my own skin.

With that said, today I started my 21 day detox which includes high intake of organic veggies and fruits, non-gluten grains and very low intake of processed sugars, just to name a few of the many adaptations taking place.
