I call this one Yin and Yang, can you tell why?
Sometimes I want to sit and watch the flowers for hours. Just sit and enjoy their presence. Sit and smell their aroma as the wind makes them dance. Sometimes I wish I could just sit still. But that’s not me, no. I run around all crazy laughing and taking pictures. It might not be the most peaceful way to enjoy them, but it’s my way and I love it.
Being out in California during the Super Bloom has been a bit of a bummer. It’s gorgeous seeing all the flowers, and I even think the crowds are wonderful. Not for me, I avoid them like the plague, but for some it doesn’t matter. To those a field of flowers is a sanctuary. It’s a sign of life, of spring, a reawakening of the earth. @allissamarit is one of those people. As I run around all goofy at sunrise she sits with the flowers. Just sits. Sits and watches as the petals open to the new sun, turning to greet the day. -
Visiting Lake Elsinore during the #superbloom was disheartening for her. Like I said the crowds are one thing, but the disrespect a complete other. People laying in flowers or picking bouquets. This kills them for others, and aside from being illegal it ruins the experience for others. Get your social media posts if that’s what you’re after, I don’t mind, but leave the flowers be for everyone else. And until then, I’ll enjoy walking the highline where there are no crowds.
I love taking photos, but all mine are done with the hope of creating a symbiotic relationship with the world. A moment where I get to capture a glimpse of its beauty. As it spins and shows me it’s good side. And in that moment I appreciate the world to its fullest, and I hope it appreciates my smile back. #flowers - 19 hours ago
