Obtained at Gerrard’s Market for $12.99, Lawrence of Arabica is a coffee orange porter brewed by Amager Bryghus.
The smell of coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt are felt upon the nose. The appearance is pitch black with a low tan head. When held up to light, no light shines through. The alcohol content is 7%. Coffee imprints a black coffee tone and texture along with a fair bitterness to the take. Chocolate is wholesome and smooth. Roasted malt makes the complexion toasty and imbues a char-like touch with the black coffee. Orange peel is recognized as the finish drags on.
Lawrence of Arabica is an outstanding coffee orange porter. The char-like tone of coffee and roasted malt against such a splendidly full chocolate base sets this beer apart. The orange peel finish blends well with the porter style. I found this beer unbelievably delicious and infectious to drink. If you manage to come across Lawrence of Arabica, don’t skip it; buy it.
Cheers. Prost. Drink for the love of beer. - 8 minutes ago
