“ I could have prevented it.” -Strange
It was one in the morning when I bolt up from my bed gasping for air. I ran a hand through my hair, pulling my bangs aside. It was just a nightmare as usual. In the corner of my eye I notice the door was slightly open. The Cloak stood by the door, swaying sightly. I looked around, but couldn’t seem to find Teddy. I got out of bed and made my way downstairs. As I made my way down I could hear voices coming from the kitchen. Cursing myself for not checking if Clea was still sound asleep. I formed a shield as I got closer to the kitchen door. Without wasting another second I kicked the door open. “Crash!” I flinch from the sound of glass breaking but covered it up by walking up to Clea. She stood there in a white, mid gown with her hands by her side while looking at me with..fear? “I-I”m sorry. I didn’t m-mean to.” she shuttlers, moving away. “Stop.” I said firmly. There was broken glass and water scattered everywhere. Some pieces landed on Clea's left foot. Teddy came from around the island in a hurry. I quickly picked him up, handing him to Clea, “Stay where you are. Don’t move.” I muttered a few words, and a snap of my fingers all the broken glass and water was gone. “Sit.” she sat on a nearby chair with Teddy still in her arms. I conjure up the first aid kit and got to work. “So why were you down here at one in the morning? A glass of water I suppose?” she only nods. I raised a brow, “Teddy followed you?” “Yes.” I smirked, “And she speaks.” I tried to lighten up the mood, but of course, that didn’t work. Once finished we made our way back upstairs in silence like earlier. “Thank you again.” Clea whispered, opening her door. Teddy ran towards it, but I stopped him before Clea notice. I gave a nod and made my way back to my bed with a whining Teddy.
