TL/DR: I'm offline for a bit PEACE!
A friend of mine recently posted to her FB asking the difference between a "job", a "hustle", and a "hobby" (what up, @acelluloidjam !). After responding, I realized I had evolved my hobby into a hustle and then again into my job. I'm grateful. Don't get me wrong. I'm so f*cking grateful to do what I once did for fun as my main source of income. Having said this, I did advise my dear friend Julia that if one found themselves with a job where a hobby once was, it's time to find a new hobby. Because the fun of it is altered once your thing becomes a revenue stream. And to say I've been consumed by my work would be an understatement. So, without further ado, for the first time in 7 years, I'm taking a digital detox.
Stop it with that shocked look on your face. Seriously, close your mouth. Okay, whatever. You do you. Believe me or not, starting tomorrow morning I will not be posting on my story, to my feed or anywhere the light of my phone touches. I'm putting down my little rectangle to the world and figuring out more about what I truly want. 6 days of phone-free, live life, uninterrupted, unplugged realness. I may never come back.
Jk, I'm an addict. I'll be back! #digitaldetoxing #thehashtagdigitaldetoxispainfullyironic - 6 hours ago
