I picked this traditional Parsi dish from my treasure of recipes, because obviously Parsi food is the bomb! (I think I say that about every cuisine! I love food!!) And, you can never have enough Parsi friends to get you that!  I didn’t play around with the recipe as it is a traditional dish and deserves the respect to be cooked the way it should be. I have added a few details which weren’t available in the original recipe. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!⠀ ⠀
Serves 6⠀
Ingredients:⠀
3/4 kg  Mutton, cleaned and cubed⠀
1  Small onion⠀
1/2  Coconut⠀
100 ml  Coconut milk⠀
3 tsp  Ginger garlic paste⠀
3 tsp  Cumin seeds⠀
3 tsp  Sesame or poppy seeds (I used Sesame seeds)⠀
1 1/2 tsp  Red chilli powder⠀
1/2 tsp  Turmeric powder⠀
2 tbsp  Groundnuts⠀
3 tbsp  Broken cashewnuts⠀
1/2 kg  Tomato puree⠀
4 tbsp  Oil⠀
1  Lemon juice⠀
Salt to taste⠀ ⠀
Method:⠀
⠀
Heat two tablespoons of oil in  a pressure cook and brown the meat with one teaspoon ginger garlic paste and salt.⠀
⠀
Pressure cook the meat till tender, I cooked it till 3 whistles.⠀
⠀
Grind the coconut, cumin seeds, sesame seeds, red chilli, turmeric powder and groundnuts to a fine paste.⠀
⠀
Heat the remaining oil in a pan, add the ginger garlic paste, the ground masala and brown it well, stirring it constantly.⠀
⠀
Once the oil separates from the masala, add the tomato puree, coconut milk and the gravy from the cooked meat and let it reach the simmering point.⠀
⠀
Add the meat and the lemon juice. Mix it well and let the consistency be semi thick.⠀
⠀
Serve hot with rice and kachumber(cucumber and 🍅 salad.)⠀

❌ Why did it happen? I saw food as “good” or “bad”. I was winning if I was eating “healthy” and I lost if I ate anything that was “unhealthy”.

🏀 So let’s use the example of basketball. A loss is a loss no matter if you lost by 1 or you lost by 50. And I saw my nutrition that way..... if I ate anything that was unhealthy, might as well get it out of my system and lose by 50 aka a glorified binge...

✅ But everything changed when I realized that foods are not inherently “good” or “bad”. Some foods just provide more health benefits (micronutrients) than others and some are a hell of a lot easier to overeat (highly palatable/calorically dense) than others.

So instead of getting to the end of the night where I had crushed all my will power thus leading to me binging and consuming 3-5k calories in one sitting

I decided to be proactive with my cravings. Having the same “healthy” meals you see, but not being scared to have a cookie, some candy, some ice cream if I was truly craving it. 
This lead to me not having these bingeing episodes and thus staying on track.

I gave myself permission.

Eating mostly “healthy” with some sprinkling in (no pun intended) of those foods to help proactively tackle cravings. 
And as a result I was eating a lot less calories than during this restrict then binge cycle.

ALSO

Keep in mind that most times when you eat a “strict/clean” diet, you are eating low calorie.

So what that’s going to do is lead to you not only feeling deprived but also HUNGRY AF. Thus creating a recipe for disaster 🤯

Evet bugün pazartesi olduğuna göre tartı günü 😂😂 o zaman gelsin bir tartı fotoğrafı. Bu hafta hiç spor yapmadan süreci tamamladım. Kıztos hastaydı hep acilde geçti zaman. Öğünlerimi de zamanında yiyemedim. Ben hiç kilo kaybedeceğimi düşünmüyordum ama tartı beni şaşırttı. Bu hafta 1.4 kilo kaybederek haftayı kapattım. Umarım önümüzdeki hafta daha bol eksili olur.

@myketoshop loving this box of keto goodies! Never ever heard of konjac before this website! 
Had a slight issue with the carrier delivering this box but got almost an immediate response from myketoshop when i reached out to them about my delayed order. They then re-sent it within 24 hours of my email. 
Really impressed with the customer service! 
As for the products themselves, the konjac noodles and rice etc, would be amazing for most weight loss diets as they only contain a fraction of the calories per portion as normal rice and noodles.

They contain almost zero carbs although they apparently contain zero fat which is the opposite of what i need for keto, but still its an amazing substitute for noodles and rice without having to consume any carbs!

Some real talk now, when I work with clients I do prefer daily weighting but that's for my own reference.
Daily weighting gives the dieter/coach (and successful maintainer) information that can be used for decision making.
Furthermore, by analyzing weight everyday I can educate people about normal fluctuations in body weight that occur on a daily basis.

Every day your weight can jump up & down based on food, hormonal fluctuations, sodium, stress, amount of water consumed, timing of last meal, how much exercise you gotten the day prior and sweat that has been excreted, how much sleep you got in, regularity of bowel movements, et cetera.

So take all of this into account before going Tourette syndrome all fuckery, mind raped, depressed on the scale. Scales have feelings too. Seriously don't go all Ellen Degeneres depressed on the scale because you didn't hit a bodyweight in a certain day that you felt entitled to.

See the scale for what it is, another tool in a tool box, just a fucking number. 
It's only one measure to track your progress. Do not overly stress about it.
Look for visual changes more than anything, compare your pics, weekly pictures have major importance - more than the scale. 
Take measurements, get your bodyfat tested. A lot of many other ways to measure progress than the "whore" scale, right?

Moon milk
.
2 cups almond mylk
2 tsp beet powder 
2 tsp maca powder
1 tsp vanilla
.
Whipped ‘cream’
.
1/2 cup aquafaba (water from a tin of chickpeas) 
1/2 tsp cream of tartar 
1 tsp vanilla extract 
4 tsp rice malt or maple syrup
.
Add almond mylk, beet powder, maca and vanilla to a small pan and heat gently. Use a whisk to combine thoroughly. Add aquafaba to a clean mixing bowl and whisk for at least 5-6 minutes until it starts to form stiff peaks. Add in cream of tartar, vanilla extract and 2 tsp rice malt syrup slowly while whisking. Keep beating for a further five minutes, the mix should be thick and stiff. Scoop whipped aquafaba into a piping bag and swirl on top of your moon milk. Sprinkle with beet powder and vegan marshmallows to serve.

Having #lunch in the sunshine! 
I am feeling so full after that! The plan was to make crushed avocado and mushroom on toast,,, but I can't do simple!,,, so I ended up with open sandwich:
✅ jalapeno Houmous on whilemeal rye bread
✅ avocado, cucumber and chilli salsa with lemon juice
✅ pan fried mushrooms  and cherry tomatoes ✅ decorated with chicory - for extra fiber lol

✅Rows play a pivotal role in developing upper back strength. Upper back strength can be an important component for many things. If you want a bigger squat, deadlift, bench, snatch, CnJ etc (insert lift here) build a strong back. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Now building a strong back isn’t going to be the necessary cure to fixing your back pain, shoulder pain, or neck pain but it can definitely be a good step toward helping you build toward a loading program (which may then get you out of pain).

About me🥳
My name is Helena and I am 18 years old. When I was younger I hated sports and I never worked out! I was always quite skinny but I then began to eat only fast food and gained some weight. To loose that weight I started a lot of unhealthy diets and stopped having breakfast. I also began calorie counting which was very harmful for me because I only ate 1200 calories a day which is very low for someone who actually needs around 2000 a day! So I was undereating a lot which lead me into binge eating! I informed myself about this eating disorder and tried my best but couldn’t get rid of it because I was still undereating. I just recently found my actual „maintenance“ calories and I have been doing quite well! The calorie calculators I used before always said I have to eat 1400 calories which is what I need to survive but I am going to the gym 4-5x a week so I really need a lot more. It only became better when I added that to the equation. 
I‘ve been going to the gym for the last 4-5 month regularly and I absolutely love it but I still want to loose some extra kg. That’s why I am starting a cut! But I am only doing it very slow because of my past! I am starting with 1850 calories a day! And My starting weight is 65kg.

Macro basics -
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✖️Protein - provide energy and support muscle growth and repair (4 calories per gram)
✖️Carbs - provide energy (bodys main source) and prevents protein breakdown (4 calories per gram)
✖️Fat - provide energy, regulate hormones, and aids in vitamin absorbtion (9 calories per gram)

1️⃣Find maintenance calories
There are a number of calculators online and they might all give you a slightly different number depending on what information they ask you to put in. This just a starting point.

2️⃣Calculate calories based on your goal
➖For deficit- Subtract 200-500 from your maintenance. The higher the number the more aggressive the deficit, but tbh don't recommend going too high
➖For surplus - Add 200-500 to your maintenance

3️⃣Calculate macros
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✖️Protein - .8-1 x your body weight in lbs. 1 might seem like a lot but if you decide to do a more aggressive deficit, the higher the protein the better in terms of maintaining lean muscle
✖️Fat - .3 or .4 x total calories. Then divide by 9 to get the grams of fat
✖️Carbs - add the calories from fat and the calories from protein (4 x the grams) and subtract it from total calories. Then divide by 4 to get the grams of carbs

There are a number of ways to calculate macros -  this is just a general method. These numbers would obviously change depending on the % you choose for each macro and not everyone is going to set them the exact same. You also do not need to follow these to a T, these are just guidelines! You can track them in an app like MyFitness Pal, which is free, yay. The next step to think about would be macro timing, but that’s a story for another day 🙂
