Shoulders presses of any kind were one of the last movements I learned how to execute properly. Originally I copied the full ROM I saw from lifters who would bring the dumbbells all the way down to their shoulders and then press them straight up to the touch. I don't want speak on a universally correct way of doing them, but for me, I like to keep the dumbbells wide and bring them down just below my ears where I feel the stretch is at its fullest without compromising any joints, and then press out and up in an arching motion stopping in line with my shoulders before the dumbbells touch. 
4 sets of 12 of those at 60lbs is more than enough to spark growth for me 👊💪🌱

I think, that the one and only difference between homemade and restaurant's fast food meals is the ENERGY VALUE! Restaurants are using high calorie sauces and fats (more fats🐷👨‍🍳) to make their meals tastier! But when you cook your food at home and track your calories you can improve the taste of your food by using low-calorie options and your cooking skills! And the result is even GREATER! 
Nowdays we can buy (or cook) everything to bring closer home meals to a restaurant's ones! Moreover, home meals are much healthier and satisfying🤤🤙🏻 Yesterday i used market hashbrowns and lean ham to make mu regular fatloss burgers tastier and the result was insane😎🤙🏻🍔 Also i added egg's whites and it gave smoothness which i love in McDonals's breakfast-burgers🐽

Dinner tonight! Tesco Healthy Living Prawn Linguine 😊 which is 2.5 syns, with a side salad for speed! (Rocket, red baby leaf, cucumber, Sweetcorn, cherry tomatoes and peppers). Delicious and filling, and quick too as it only takes 5 mins in the microwave!

Excuse my nasty scribble but I'm so pumped after training for the first time this week. I've been feeling so frustrated and absent minded this week so I haven't really posted anything but lifting really is the best therapy.  It's max week and tonight I really pushed myself and managed to increase my weights by 10-15kg on RDLs and Sumo Deadlifts. Everything else I went the next weight  up. Now to get my diet back on point 😇

📓:Hi guys thought I'd give you a peek into my weight loss journal and show you my new for myself😁. I created this because I tend to "over treat myself" some weeks. I love eating healthy and exercising bit some days I just don't feel like working out or skipping out on eating junk food. When I deprive myself of the foods I crave I tend to give into my cravings after a few days (or even hours) and binge on anything I can find. 
So I've invented myself the "6 out of 7 Rule." This is so I can still have my treats without deprivation, but I have to work for it. Feel free to try this too if you have a similar problem, I hope it helps.

When I deprive myself of the foods I crave I tend to give into my cravings after a few days (or even hours) and binge on anything I can find. So I've invented myself the "6 out of 7 Rule." This is so I can still have my treats without deprivation, but I have to work for it. Curry night. Decided to go for a different curry sauce tonight instead of jarred. Pleasantly surprised with “the spice Taylor” korma curry. I do love these quick curries and the jarred ones usually are too sweet and leave me quite hungry but this one was a lot nicer and more filling. .

Day 4 #sugardetox
Today I had to look up a recipe for sugar free hot cocoa...<<sugar free hot cocoa>> wtf have a gotten myself into?!

We had a rapid response at work today...literally on my ekg table.
Scary right? But you know what’s kinda cool about it? I was able to access my brain enough to know what to do. In fact...I didn’t even freak out at all.

Actual mental clarity...That’s not something you can buy over the counter 😂

Months of meditation got me here and actually taking care of myself is what’s cleared my mind up enough to function under stress. 
So I call detox day 4 a success. Even if I’m sleepy as hell as evidenced by the picture above 😂

FOOD! 🥑🍳🍤🐟 While I’m a huge fan of consistent and regular exercise, 🏋🏻‍♀️ I strongly believe that to see the biggest change in your body, diet is the most important lifestyle change you need to make. But you also don’t have to completely restrict yourself and avoid eating delicious foods. Take a look at my mealprep for the week, which consists of a healthy balance of nutrients, good food, and supplement from @womensbest and is enjoyable to eat, too!

The reason diet is so important is because if you overeat foods that are unhealthy, it takes a LOT of exercise to burn those calories. For example, I saw on a nutrition facts website that a person would have to do cardio for over 2 hours just to burn off a 🍔 Big Mac! 😱 And that doesn’t account for any of the other foods that person ate during the day!

What has benefitted me SO much is to figure out my daily energy expenditure and base my macro intake on that (full tutorial on YouTube). Flexible dieting - or staying within my macros - has helped me to lean out and also build muscle!

Macros have worked well for so many people I know because our body types and goals are all so different! There’s really no one-size-fits-all solution to health! My body type is different from yours, my best friend’s and my family, so it just makes sense that our meal plan be different too.

And I’m just loving my new bikini from @bronzyswimwear! It’s my good friend @sissysithammara’s brand new line (congrats babe) and even though California isn’t that warm I’ll pretend I’m in Australia right now for summer! lol ☀️ 🌴 Hope you guys all have a delicious and nutritious week!

Snack: a bite of oreo cream pie jesus no idea how much cals 1 bite contains sorry
Dinner: 5 cherry tomatoes, an apple, 10 blueberries. (120)
I calculated it on my app and it said I still had 1000 cals left (to lose 0.5 kg a week) and idk it made me doubt if this is really necessary. So I impulsively had 2 lotus cookies (110)
That makes the total around 500 (yes I round everything up to be sure) but I really feel like I eat so much?? Like wtf is up??

Nutrition myths | Things that need to die
.
Today I am dispelling some nutrition myths.
.
I totally understand why people can get bogged down with nutrition as there is so much conflicting information out there.
.
Below are just a few I hear a lot that need addressing.
.
1. I could write so much on this first myth but the reality is that a calorie deficit is the most important thing for weight loss and eating clean won’t necessarily mean that. You can still eat some of your favourite foods and lose weight just focus on 80% good single ingredient foods and then 20% can be more flexible while focussing on calorie intake.
.
2. While I don’t drink a lot of sugar free drinks myself there is no issues with drinking them and they will by no means cause fat gain. You can’t make calories pop up out of thin air and sugar free drinks when dieting are a much better choice than their higher calorie sugary alternatives.
.
3. I can’t write this one without laughing. Bulletproof coffee is one of the biggest nutrition cons going. Drinking hundreds and hundreds of liquid calories is not a great idea when dieting but ruining a good cup of coffee with loads of oil and butter is even more stupid. Just don’t do it, LIKE NEVER.
.
4. You can’t alter your metabolism like people say you can. Eating small regular meals will not help your fat loss goals if calories are the same compared to eating 1-3 meals a day. Again it comes down to your total daily calorie intake. Eat to your preference or lifestyle and don’t freak out if you haven’t eaten in the last 3 hours.
.
5. ‘Breakfast is the most important meal of the day’. This is what your mum probably told you and Mr Kelloggs. If you don’t have time for breakfast or feel better without it that’s fine. It can actually be a good way to limit some calorie intake at the beginning of the day. Again focus on that total daily calorie intake, if you like breakfast then great and if you don’t fine. It does not matter.

This can be directly related to making too many lifestyle changes at once, and not fully integrating any of them.

Let’s say your diet is really poor quality.

You eat too many calories and not enough veggies or protein.

You don’t exercise.

You have a poor bedtime routine and you are highly stressed.

If you suddenly decided that you were going to hit the gym every single day, eat “clean” at all of your meals, go to bed early and begin meditating for 30 minutes each day, you’d soon find yourself massively overwhelmed.

This would simply be too big of a lifestyle change.

There’s just too many rabbits.

It would make more sense to implement a few habits that you are confident you will stick to each day.

Once they are integrated, you move onto the next set of habits.

It takes 18-254 days to form a new habit.

So take your time with it.

INGREDIENTES:
🥩350 gramos de falda de res
🥩1 cebolla
🥩2 hojas de laurel
🥩4 jitomates
🥩2 chiles verdes
🥩2 limones
🥩2 cucharada de aceite de oliva
🥩1 cucharadita de orégano seco
🥩Sal
🥩Pimienta

Para acompañar
🥑Aguacate
🌵Tostadas de nopal .

PREPARACIÓN:
1. Coloca la carne en una olla, junto con las hojas de laurel, sal y agua suficiente para cubrirla y ponla a hervir. Si tienes una olla express, cuenta 25 minutos desde el momento en que alcance su punto de presión. Si lo haces en una olla convencional, deja cocer por al menos una hora hasta que este completamente cocida y sea fácil de deshebrar.
2. Mientras la carne se cuece, puedes preparar los demás ingredientes. Para ello, corta la cebolla, los jitomates y los chiles verdes.

Coloca la carne en una olla, junto con las hojas de laurel, sal y agua suficiente para cubrirla y ponla a hervir. Si tienes una olla express, cuenta 25 minutos desde el momento en que alcance su punto de presión. Not so much a physical result but a personal one! I did it! I went into a new gym, not many people there and I even sorted out a personal training and nutrition package. I spent half my time playing with the equipment and doing some leg stuff and the rest of the time chatting to the guy! Like most, Fleur came to me with the impression that she needed to spend half the day on a treadmill in the gym in order to lose weight. 
A while with nothing happening and feeling frustrated, she reached out to me. 
We've now made her diet flexible so that she can still eat all the foods that she enjoys whilst losing weight.

We've developed her knowledge and educated her on weekly energy balances, weight fluctuations, calorie cycling etc.. And introduced to effective weight training which is resulting in great changes in her body composition. 
Well done Fleur.

I'm incredibly proud of you and excited to smash more goals before the end of this year! 😃

You need to spend more than you earn. More energy out than in.

At the beginning it may feel a bit more restricted as learning new habits and dietary change..but I still believe in flexibility and balance! -
It's a lifestyle change not a "diet"

I would like to first thank Fio and Ely for all their hard work and support. I would also like to thank my coworker Linette who recommended me this program. I don’t think I had any real challenges throughout the program besides the 120oz of water intake daily. Leaving all the junk food, soda, and bread behind was not too difficult. When I started the program I was so mentally ready for it because I had been trying for so long to lose weight but just couldn’t so when Wellness Mode came into my life and I saw it was working it was one of the greatest feelings. Honestly, one of the main reasons I never gave up was because I saw results as each week passed and that encouraged me to stick to the meal plan. One of the main things I learned through Wellness Mode is how to portion control my food. Before the program I had no idea how much food I should be eating with each meal so I just ate and I didn’t really know how to tell if I was full. Through Wellness Mode I learned how much to eat and how to know when your stomach has had enough food. This is one of the tools I learned and will use to maintain a healthy life style. Thank you Wellness Mode for all that you have taught me!
