Devilman: Crybaby (2018), directed by Masaaki Yuasa
Right from the first episode I got the feeling that this will be unlike any other anime I've seen, partially for its no-bullshit way around adult content. While other anime only go so far at teasing, this one goes all-in with extra amount of nudity and sex, not safe for kids, it is downright filthy and sinful. This cannot come off as anything but satisfying, because the devil in me loves the shit out of it. Is that all to it? Hell... you'd be surprised how human it is. The crybaby tag doesn't refer to cowardice, its for sympathy, the anime cares about its characters. The side characters have something to contribute, like the ever appealing J-rap group, and the rewarding peer envy from Miko. Miki on the other hand (one of the main characters) got her own comment section on her Instagram, fascinating, she is one of my favorite characters in anime, ever. The bizzare animation suits the bloody nature and dark tone, while the soundtrack is killer. Personally I'm into monsters and I love the design of the devils here, from the way they run, to their transformations that can be genital-punishing sometimes, its wild and creative. Overall, Devilman Crybaby is not perfect, but it is fresh, sexy and stylistically inventive. Borrowing from a precise quote: "An acid trip down to darkest depths of humanity". No one said it better.
The OP is fire, I'm banging my head.
