Tried climbing for the first time in a very long time today, and OH MY GOODNESS I had so much fun😍 I thought I was going to be way out of my league (not saying I’m a pro by any means) but I did pretty well! Climbed to the top of the 14ft 45 degree angled wall, and although it was tough, it felt great.🙌😅💁‍♀️💪🔥

Cardio sucks 💀 I see people complaining about cardio all the time. Why do you think so many coaches have their selling point be that their clients do zero cardio on prep? It sucks, a lot. I would bet 90% of people despise it with a passion and flat out don’t want to do it. 
Well there’s a lot of shit I don’t want to do either. I don’t like paying bills. I don’t like following the speed limit. Sometimes you gotta do stuff that you don’t want to do.

Cardio may not be enjoyable but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it. It has massive benefits outside of the obvious caloric burn. It keeps your heart healthy, flushes your lymphatic system which helps promote recovery, and it improves your overall conditioning. But James, I’m a powerlifter, I don’t need to be able to do 45 min of cardio, it doesn’t apply to my sport.

Yes, you’re right. It doesn’t specifically apply to your sport, you’re not racing anyone on a treadmill or elliptical. But guess what it does do, bro?

It improves your GPP, it improves your ability to recover between sets, exercises and sessions. If you can recover faster or catch your breath between sets quicker that means you can train harder. When you train harder you get stronger or leaner or whatever your goal is. Yes, it may not directly effect your sport but it does effect your training. I’m not saying you have to do hours of treadmill work a day or even do it everyday but you need to implement some form of cardio a few times in your weekly routine. Flat out. It makes a difference. Trust me.

Wasn’t feelin the weights today so I spent just under an hour on the elliptical today. Threw a hoodie on even though it’s in the 80’s, headphones in and an episode of the Sopranos and I was good to go.

Also, really loving this @whoop band for tracking my day to day and my recovery. Definitely always a plus to have the extra analytics to back up what you’re doing and help navigate your sessions. Super cool tool that monitors your sleep, heart rate, HRV, and activity levels to give you a complete picture of your recovery.

Today was shoulder day. Day: 4 of #75HARD So far the biggest challenge is finding ways to be creative with my outdoor workouts. Drinking a gallon of water a day hasn’t been as hard as I thought it would be. I just have to remember to start early enough in the day. Searching for the groove and excited to see the results. _

Same place, years apart. I’ve had 8 years of training and the last year has by far been the worse. If you know you know if you don’t then you may do one day. It starts with how you look. Then it becomes something far greater. I’m an atheistic build naturally and spent two years bulking to 118.9kg. Always striving for more. Always chasing. As @killrobbailey would say GET EM!

The shoulder pump was real today! Great #workout at @o2.wellness Did some #delts and it felt great! I got an awesome #pump Haven't said that in a looooong time! LOL I hurt my neck on Tuesday during my workout and thanks to @jdaniel1984 for helping me out after with some stretches etc made a huge difference and definitely helped with recovering quicker! I literally could not move when it happened! Got in to see @laurettaryan too and she worked it out for me! Took a couple of days off but back at it and feeling good!
