@gulftoday British teenager Harvey Bass has blown up the Internet with his infectious, addictive dance moves on social media.
Harvey’s hard to resist dance on video sharing app TikTok has gone beyond expectations.
The video garnered over 3.7m likes and 40.9k comments as of Thursday morning.
Gulf Today spoke to the sixteen-year-old agile lad from North West, England on what went on behind the scenes of the now famous video clip.
Harvey said, “So it began with my interest with the app TikTok. I had seen a dance going round on the app to the song ‘The Git Up’ by Blanco Brown and it had been stuck in my head for days!”
He said, “For a bit of context, in the UK (where I live) we have to sit many GCSE exams so on the 7th June, I had 2 exams (one in the morning and one in the afternoon). It was in between the two exams that me and my friend Niamh decided to (out of nowhere) open the app TikTok and record... And so it began. The video immediately began to blow up and it still is!”
Harvey shared the video on TikTok with the caption that reads, “I got suspended for this😔 #foryou #featurethis #uk creds: @_niamhmurphyy …” .
