Fitness Friday • To say that fitness and martial arts changed my life is an understatement. For those of you who aren’t familiar with my story, I’ve been overweight, skinny, bulimic, anorexic and even in fight shape and stage ready for body building shows. I can honestly say I’ve fallen in love with the entire journey and process. Through fitness and martial arts, I found self confidence in myself. More recently, I’ve fallen in love with lifting. It’s crazy, though, I used to call myself a “cardio queen,” because that’s all I’d ever do! Don’t get me wrong, running and cardio have their place in a well-balanced fitness regime, but lifting weights promotes growth of lean mass which is an integral part of any fat loss journey. Simply put, muscle helps cultivate a healthier metabolism because the more muscle our bodies have; the more calories it will burn at rest. Lifting weights makes me feel powerful and strong. Being strong gives me self confidence. I want to empower others to find confidence in themselves through fitness and health. Fitness gives me a reason to wake up every day with purpose. Week 8 (Fitness Journal) 💪📓 -

I hate jumping on a scale. It’s this mental barrier I still haven’t beaten because I reward/punish myself if I don’t get the results I want.

I’ve been doing so well with intermittent fasting that I decided to cheat more than usual with what I’ve been putting into my body recently. The result? I gained 2 pounds over the course of 10 days and no it’s not muscle weight. Currently at 152 and want to weigh in at 145. -

What’s the moral lesson in all of this? If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I’ve been working hard since the beginning of the year (fitness/diet wise) and I’ve achieved great results because of it. It’s okay to reward yourself but don’t go to trigger happy several days in a row like I have (lol but I love peanut butter tho 😭). And now that I’ve documented myself on this slip I’m telling you all right now, I will achieve my ideal body weight before the end of the year and I hope that you all will too.

We are seeking fitness professionals who have previous teaching experience and who have a passion for making fitness fun. Instructors who have experience in any and all of the following genres - Bootcamp based classes, Kickboxing, Zumba, Sculpt, Yoga and Pilates are needed.
Requirements:
• Nationally Accredited Certification (Required): ACE, AFAA, and NASM preferred (Current Zumba license and current Zin Member if teaching only Zumba, Schwinn or Maddog if teaching Cycle) (Required). If only interested in Small Group Training, a Nationally Accredited Personal Training Certification or Group Fitness Certification is required.

Your Body can go through a physical emotional Roller coaster when your body decides to attack its self because weight loss by Brady can be read as an attack. My immune system is terrible. With two loading docks, one at the feet and one at the head, many people think that it is resistance on both docks, when in actuality there is a resistance loading dock (at your feet) and an assistance loading dock (at your head). The machine as currently set up has 35lbs or resistance and 35lbs of assistance for a net result of zero! It might look pretty bad ass, but that is a lot of work to load and unload the machine for no net gain! If you have any other machines that you’re unsure if you are using properly, post them up and use the hashtag #crunchkitchenercoachinghelp and we will get one of our coaches to post a video on how to properly set up/use the piece in question. Today’s workout tested me in every way!  60 minutes of cursing, encouragement, wanting to quit, more cursing and finally finding a way to just do the damn thing!  It tested me not only physically but mentally! -
I seriously didn’t think I could finish it.  But that’s the great thing.  I started day 1 with the intent of doing this program and not quitting.  I didn’t come this far to quit today because it was “too hard”. -
Instead, I pushed through.  Reminded myself of how far I have come.  Constantly encouraged myself. And thank god, had my mom/workout partner there to keep me going.

So here’s to doing the damn thing.  May not have been pretty; but I did it.  And I’m proud of myself for it.

So I’m happy I took this video so I can see how I can better my form… LOLz I tried to do a military push-up for the third push up😂 My triceps need some work👍🏼🙈 Also, I see I need to hold my core up when I’m doing the pushups although it was a nice stretch to lift up my shoulders before my core.
