Weekends are always the toughest! Went 1600 calories over my weekly goal but I also burned an additional 1600 calories from OrangeTheory last week, so it all balances out 😄☺️ My goal is to be in a calorie deficit by 300 calories a day which puts me at around 1400 calories a day not including calories burned from exercising.

Dinner was so delicious and low cal as well! And it was all made up as we go!

Baked Cilantro, Garlic and Lemon Swai - I generously sprinkle paprika, onion powder, dill, salt and then topped the fillets with a good drizzle of olive oil, freshly minced garlic, lemon zest and always too much cilantro. Then I juice that lemon all over the fish, because waste not! It actually tastes pretty much like #tomyum without the lemongrass or the heat

Mango Salsa Salad - I throw some mango into a bowl, then again, too much cilantro and a little salt, then I look around in the fridge and found some peach salsa, into the bowl it goes. So. Good!

If I counted the calories correctly, I got about 350 cals for dinner. And I'm still 210 under my 1200 cals a day! Vacation weight is a b*tch!

Ok y’all, here’s the recipe for those amazing Strawberry Blondies I posted earlier today, as promised! It features our Bunz N Gunz strawberry cake mix and our Cheesecake Icing. 
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Cheesecake Blondie

For the blondie:
150g Bunz N Gunz (from @allamericannutritionco)
3-4 TBS @swervesweetie zero calorie sweetener
1 egg
1/8 cup light butter (I used @icantbelieveitsnotbutter___ )
1/8 cup fat free cream cheese (I used @lovemyphilly )
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
White chocolate chips if you want (I omitted)

Bake at 350 for 18-22 minutes. Let cool to set.

For the Frosting:
25-35g @allamericannutritionco Cheesecake Icing (use more or less depending on how thick you want it)
1/8 cup Fat Free Cream Cheese
Unsweetened Almond milk
Mix it all together to desired consistency, toss in a small handful of mini chocolate chips, and top with more if desired.

Is the only way to lose weight is to count calories or track macros? Not really👇🏻⁣

“I went on Keto, Paleo, Weight Watchers, etc and lost weight without tracking my food"⁣

“As soon as I cut back carbs I started losing weight. No counting.”⁣
⁣
These strategies definitely work, but there's a reason that they do.⁣
⁣
But just because they didn’t track any calories does not mean calories don’t count. The only way you will lose weight with a diet is if there is a caloric deficit. There can be other complications, but that's for another discussion. ⁣

With Keto, you’re cutting carbs.⁣
⁣
With Paleo, you’re cutting calorically dense processed food.⁣
⁣
With Weight Watchers you’re following a point system.⁣
⁣
The bottom line is that every diet that works has strategies and rules that help you cut back on calories… without even really realizing it. ⁣

What's to learn here?⁣
⁣
You can focus less on the magical diet your co-worker lost 20lbs on, and focus MORE on creating something that works for YOU and YOUR lifestyle. ⁣

If you like Keto, do it!⁣

If you like being a vegetarian, then fuck yeah!⁣

Personally, I have had incredible results with tracking calories and food.⁣

It teaches you invaluable skills that you use for life and fundamental truths about the food that you’re eating. It can be REALLY eye-opening.⁣

Once you know the calories of the food you eat, and what your portion sizes look like, you become a wizard at adjusting your portions and making your diet more flexible, so you can actually enjoy yourself and not live a life of restriction.⁣

Imagine being able to lose weight/maintain your physique AND still be able to go out and have fun. That would be pretty neat, right?⁣
