GET MORE OUT OF YOUR WORKOUTS BY TARGETING MULTIPLE MUSCLE GROUPS:
“My lower back and hips hurt”, well guess what, you most likely have poor posture in some regards. A commonality found in poor posture is a weak core and gluteal muscles. There are a number of great exercises out there that individually target these muscle groups, however much of these exercises can be combined together to save you time while becoming more challenging and effective. The Rolling Plank with Hip Abduction is an excellent exercise to target multiple muscle groups of your core, lower back, and hips to help improve your posture, decrease your pain, and ultimately improve your full body strength. Start in a front plank position trying to maintain alignment of the hips, shoulders, and ears.  Lift your pelvis off the ground before rotating one arm and hip off the ground so you’re in a side plank position.  From this position lift the upper leg away from your body.  Slowly return to the starting front plank position before repeating on the opposite side. Repeat for 3 sets of 10 repetitions. Repeat daily or as prescribed!!

Put @studiomel through a full core workout today. She’s gonna feel this one. First time I put her there my beginner core workout she did amazing. She did not finish the final reps of the last exercises that are all body weight but to me it’s a victory for both of us. I pushed her to a new limit and she is making more gains in leaps and bounds. Here is a Core strengthening exercise that you can do anywhere:

One of the sets I completed during my workout session earlier this morning. As you can see, I have incorporated 4 exercises (Bicep Press, Side Dips, Russian Twists and Medicine Ball Sit-ups) using 4kg Dumbells. If you’re not familiar with 21s: Example) you start with 20 reverse crunches and 1 squat jump. And then 19 reverse crunches and 2 squat jumps. All until you hit 1 and 20. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Oft, muss ich mich auch mit Bildern wie diesem da selbst motivieren ➡️ ein typisches „After-Workout-Selfie“: das Feeling nach dem Training - wie unschwer auf dem Bild zu erkennen ist - ist Belohnung genug für all die Anstrengungen die das Training so mitbringt und motiviert mich zum Glück immer auf ein neues!
