Later always means never.
That statement means more to me now than ever.
The amount of times I have heard, "I think it would be better if I waited until _______ to invest in myself. I just have too much going on."
"I'll have more time later."
"I'll have more mental space then."
"I'll be in a better position financially."
Of course, a later time is never better, when the real issue is fear and lack of self belief.
I mean, if these excuses were the TRUTH, why would someone apply for the opportunity in the first place, already knowing they want to wait? [They wouldn't.]
It feels good to take that step, but scary af to pull the trigger and actually put yourself on the hook.
So, if you're the type of person who has said this when an opportunity has presented itself to you - you’re not going to like what I’m about to say.
Everyone I know who has a habit of using these excuses - NEVER, ends up chasing that opportunity at a later date.
They have already chosen to say yes to staying in their comfort zone, ya know, the one that’s not all that comfortable. And they’re using this dream of an online business as a fantasy to escape into when their reality gets tough, but not tough enough for them to actually act.
The greatest question I can ask you, is one you need to ask yourself daily - "if nothing changed, a year from now, and you’re still doing the exact same thing you are today. Would you be happy?"
If yes, GOOD.
But I know one major thing we all have in common as humans, the desire for progress. progress = happiness. Double tap if you agree.
When we are progressing in life, we are happy, we have that THRIVING feeling.
When we feel stuck, bored or like our days don’t have purpose - we begin to feel out of alignment, sad and anxious.
And honestly, I refuse to feel like that.
