“Now we're four misfits who don't belong together, we're playing for the other misfits. They're the outcasts, right at the back of the room. We're pretty sure they don't belong either. We belong to them.”

PLOT: The story of the legendary rock band Queen and lead singer Freddie Mercury, leading up to their famous performance at Live Aid.
First of all, Bryan Singer can fuck right off! I have to clarify that because if I don’t for whatever reason people think I support pedophiles. Which I don’t. That’s fucked up. That aside, judging this on the merits of a film, I’m about to piss off a lot of people.
I’ve seen this film three times now and this film has only gotten better.
Yes, they change some events around and some things were written just for the film. But, literally every biopic or ‘true story’ film does that. So, I never take this as a straight forward Biopic. The point of this film was to honor his life and introduce a new generation to his music. This film showed how great Freddie was on stage as an amazing singer, incredible front man, and talented musician. But more importantly, it showcased how lonely of an individual he was in private and accepting who he was in the early days of his life.
Rami Malek gives one of the4 best performances of the year. He is my personal pick for Best Actor. This isn’t him doing an impression of Freddie Mercury, he really becomes this man. The way he moves his body on stage to the fascial expressions off stage. His only real opponent is Christian Bale for Vice, but I think Rami has got this locked. We’ll find out Sunday night.
