In the past, I have focused merely on weight loss. I had no interest in the benefits of how food fuels my body. As long as the scale went down, I was all for it. I paid for programs, perused Pinterest, and even grabbed a few books from the library. One factor that always got in the way for me has been my picky eating. .
I’ve gotten better as an adult with the foods that I try and eat, but I’d still label myself as a bit of a picky eater. There are some vegetables I don’t even want to smell and fish is out of the question (unless it’s spicy tuna rolls or canned tuna). So, anything with a menu or meal plan felt impossible for me.
I love the nutrition program that I follow because ONE it has taught me how foods affect my body and at what times I should be eating them and TWO I choose what I eat. I’m given recipes and Pinterest is still my BFF but I’m not required to think about broccoli, mushrooms, salmon, to name a few.
Are you a picky eater, too? What’s one food you absolutely can’t do? - 2 days ago
