The other day, I had a lot of email enquiries and I hadn't got round to replying to them all.
I thought I would have a read through them whilst taking Cody out for a walk.
So I'm walking down the street
Cody pulling me along on his lead
head in my phone looking at these emails
Walked straight into a lamppost.
I didn't know whether to laugh or be angry
I actually hurt myself a bit
it was pretty embarrassing too, especially because it was on a main road.
I wasn't paying attention to what was important
and I paid the price.
A small one but it was still a bang on the head I didn't want.
Moral of the story:
Focus your energy and attention on what is important at the time.
The same can be said for you too
The amount of people I see spending more time focusing on
not eating carbs after 6pm
cutting out all their favourite foods
rather than focusing on what is actually going to help them transform their body
sooner or later you'll get a bang on the head too.
But your bang on the head might be 4 months down the line
in the middle of summer
when you realise you've not really made any progress with your body
and you're still not happy with how you look and feel
because you'd rather pay attention to things that just aren't that important.
I'm not saying you shouldn't keep an eye on your carb intake
or that reducing your sugar intake is a bad idea
I'm just saying it wouldn't be on the top of my priority list if I was looking to transform my body
especially for my summer holiday coming up.
Everyone is different.
I get that.
But you won't get the results you want by focusing on the things that don't actually matter.
