How about we as Black people stop the cycle of needing to be validated by others. We don’t need more inclusion in companies like Gucci, Prada, or whatever other company that hates or dislikes us, but are willing to accept our money. Racism is deep rooted, there will never be checks and balances when dealing with a racist. Changing words or policies of a company only changes ones service, it doesn’t change the intent of there hearts and/or beliefs. I would rather know where you stand then for you to hide it. That being said, go out and support other businesses that share your values, that love our culture, that respect us, and that work with us to lift up humanity. The only way WE as black people will free ourselves from material bondage is by looking in the mirror and realizing that we don’t have to validate who we are by showing off monetary gains, but by being the beautiful Kings, Queens, creators, prophets, scientists, philosophers, architects, astronomers, farmers, doctors, educators, writers, and so much more of what we are. 2019 is about ‘man/woman knowing thyself,’ ‘The body is the house of God!’ My people understand we are fighting for small to no gains by trying to force ourselves on others. True freedom comes from within and only then will the narrative change.
