Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day... This is my Lil O. He’s my baby boy, even though he’s the oldest, by one minute.
My lil soldier is not poorly. He does not have an illness, he won’t get ‘better’ & there is no cure. What he has is brain damage.
This is Cerebral Palsy..... Having CP has resulted in Ollie needing full time care since birth. He’s had to endure many obstacles in life, including many infections, surgeries, constant pain & even fighting to stay alive.
He can't talk, walk, crawl, feed himself, make his needs known or tell me 'he loves me'. However, he is my guiding light, my encyclopaedia of knowledge in a world I thought I'd never learn. He keeps me on my toes, makes me ride a roller coaster ride daily & he has the most beautiful, smile, face & laugh.
Cerebral Palsy maybe simply brain damage but there’s nothing simple about it. Most people believe our hearts keep us alive. They’re wrong. Without our brain telling our heart to keep beating we wouldn’t survive. Keep breathing, fighting & smiling my brave boy #cerebralpalsy #cerebralpalsyawareness #son #awareness 🏽 - 2 hours ago
