Switching things up with Eggs, Sausage, and Sprouted Toast this morning! Along with my protein coffee, my entire breakfast is approx *360 calories* and the perfect combination of protein, carbs, and healthy fats to keep me full throughout my shift! •Simply scramble eggs with a dash of sea salt and pepper and add cut up chicken sausage. Let cool, pop a lid on, and stick in fridge. Heat up when you’re ready! I usually make 2-3 bowls at a time and keep in fridge for up to 4 days. I packed a slice of bread and popped it in the toaster at work. Confetti aka Smarties imo! A rather standard block of very smooth annd milky chocolate with colourful confetti in the block for that added crunch.

I don't really know what to say here except I enjoyed it more than the Bubbles but I wouldn't go out of my way to ever buy it again because it's a rather boring bar overall 😅 Nothing ground breaking here.

OH! I will say this...This is what Cadbury Dairy Milk used to be like, rich, creamy and smooth unlike today where it's waaaay more sugary and less of everything I just mentioned. I do miss those blocks 😭

Pretending it’s summer already with this Coconut-Blueberry Banana smoothie bowl 🥥🍌🥣 This smoothie is an easy breakfast or snack.  Coconut milk, bananas, blueberries, dates and cottage cheese blend together to make a flavor and protein packed smoothie!

RECIPE(for one serving): ▪️1/2 cup unsweetened almond/coconut milk ▪️1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries ▪️1/2 ripe frozen banana ▪️1/3 cup cottage cheese or your choice of protein powder ▪️1 tsp vanilla extract + optional 1/4 tsp coconut extract ▪️1 cup ice cubes
▪️1-2 pitted dates or sweetener of choice !▪️Pinch psyllium husk (thickener) 
DIRECTIONS: Blend ingredients with half cup of ice until well combined. Add psyllium husk , rest of ice & blend again until reaches desired consistency. Transfer to bowl & add your toppings ! I opted for @traderjoes Shredded Coconut 👌🏼Enjoy!

5 syn dinner because I am starving! This week I've really struggled with my appetite because it feels like I could eat a small horse and the barn it lives in! So I opted for some filling, home cooked food with very little speed I know but I'm deffo stuffed! So it’s #nationalZucchiniBreadDay! Yay for 🥒+🍞 right? A small story: I grew up anti-veggie. I’ve straightened up my act for various reasons but if I had to chose, my perfect diet would be meat, cheese, sweets and beer. Maybe some carbs too. So when i was younger, my mom did her best to try and convince me to like veggies. And the first ever veggie I ate and liked enough to want more was zucchini bread. I know many of you will say that doesn’t count but if the only veggie I ate at the age of 18 was corn...then zucchini bread counts. 😉😂. So...needless to say, I’m excited and happy to have this day. Somehow, I'm eating these things and still managing to get into the best shape of my life for the summer.

How?

Doing these things:
1) Consistently performing overload-focused resistance training
2) Maintaining a modest calorie deficit
3) Eating a fuckton of vegetables 
4) Eating 170+ grams of protein/day (I weigh 180 lbs)
5) Shooting for 8+ hours of sleep/night
6) Taking walks to keep stress as low as possible

Last but most CERTAINLY not least: **** 7) Forgiving myself when I "mess up," learning from those experiences, and seeing how I can do a little bit better the next time I'm in a challenging food environment ***** Before you go HAM with some wild elimination diet, see if you can nail some of these bigger picture ideas; you'll likely get far more bang for your buck.

The point of consuming food is to remain alive. The point of controlling one’s intake of food is to manage physique and overall health. The point of consuming fewer calories is to reduce body fat across one’s composition. But one constant in all of the above should be one’s enjoyment of food.

When an individual embarks on fat loss, each of the above are important. One must enjoy their energy consumption, be aware of energy intake in relation to their energy output, and consistently ensure that hat they are in a state of sustainable caloric deficit. To ensure progress, one may have to change and adjust their dietary habits. But instead of completely changing one’s diet, adherence may be more likely if one makes small changes over time. For example: consuming the same volume of lower calorie foods/drinks that are essentially the same foods/drinks.

This graphic shows two groups of foods/drinks. One group contains over double the calorie amount of the other, yet quantity of both remains the same (apart from the freddo). Crucially, the lower calorie versions resemble the same taste/experiment as their high calorie counterparts (or very similar).

Whilst consumption of lower calorie versions may not be immediately significant, they can be over a period of time. For example, if one swapped daily consumption of 300ml of whole milk for semi skimmed milk for 1 year, they would consume 17520 fewer calories whilst experiencing is minimally compromised.

One must make an informed choice in the knowledge that lower calorie items may contain less of a particular macronutrient. And in the case of low calorie beverages, awareness that sweeteners are included.

Losing fat is not straightforward. It requires a change of habits. But if an individual recognizes opportunities to make small changes which reap big long term rewards, it’s seems short sighted not to take them.

how to avoid humanity at 8:34 in the morning.
This morning found me down a random lane walking at an intense speed and scowling at the world around me.
I find myself playing this came a lot. 
Feeling angry at every car that drives past, every bird that calls, wanting to scream at the man walking to the postbox.
Sometimes I just want the world to stop.
Sometimes I just want the 510 million square kilometres of the earth to empty itself to an island of grass and trees.
Every man and cloud and spec of dust seems to stare at me as I walk past in shame and I have to fight the urge to scream curse words at the cars as they pass.
