Happy Sunday from me and my Valentine bouquet still looking very fresh and beautiful I’ve been feeling SUPER grateful for the lovely community of creatives and like-minded people I was able to build here after your response to yesterday’s post and your always quick and helpful advice and answers to any of my Qs in Stories So yes, you guessed it, I’m doing the numbers talk again...
I can’t help but live by the idea numbers are just numbers. In the week when a lot of us experienced a drop to our followers counts, I saw people worrying about numbers a lot, and more people telling numbers don’t really matter, and others, in response, showing how they do matter after all. I’m telling you this: my Instagram profile isn’t really growing that fast anymore, I experience drops in my followers count daily (as most of us) and take weeks to get back to where I left. BUT here’s the thing: 9 out of 10 of my on-going clients projects are with clients who found me through Instagram. I book at least one new project per month, with people that mention having seen my Instagram account. I have the loveliest genuine response to posts and topics that share my ethic and vision. I get helpful messages and advice each time I have a question. So while you could just keep measuring your worth through your followers count, wouldn’t it be just a lot better to simply realise maybe you don’t quite need that number you’re trying to reach so hard? Wouldn’t it be much easier to focus your energies on the people you were able to surround yourself with already?
I won’t go deeper, but please tell me I’m not the only one completely exhausted from hearing people complain about their numbers not really growing anymore! Remember building a community instead of a number feels much more fulfilling and effective in the long term
