In the Tigray region and other rural parts of Ethiopia, young girls often walk many miles daily to collect water for their families. This means they miss out on an education and expose themselves to risks.
I recently traveled to Ethiopia to film a short documentary on young women who have been affected by clean water projects. Kibra is a young girl we met who is the first girl in her village to graduate and go to university. She is in the third year of her hydrology and water engineering degree.
