Spring Dreams in Pink.
Its fitting to share this now, our first spring eve with our hinterlands illuminated by a super full worm moon. Bare with me.
I love many things winter. Especially the firsts... the first snowflakes, the first snowshoe, the first winter fire, winter stew... the first crazy storm and being 'snowed in'... i love the first pin bright day, deeply cold with crunchy snow under foot. I love that snow turns our land into sparkles. But most of all, I love the transition between seasons... the anticipation of change. The renewing of light & warmth, sunsets and rises reflecting candy colours accross our icy & snow covered world. And not least, the iconic signals that ensure us that seasons are turning. The days shall be longer and brighter & so too shall return our beloved Canadian geese!
I've been blessed with daily woodland walks thanks to my lil' miss Lore.... and just 3 days ago, we heard the geese overhead. A joyful moment. 'Spring Dreams in Pink' is on its way to NCECA for the Canadian Bonspiel Exhibition ~ Canadians and their love of Winter & Winter sports @hennepinmade in Minneapolis. I'm honoured to be a part of this stellar show amongst so many talented makers all wrangled up by one of my own Canadian Ceramic heroines, Mariko Paterson of @foragestudios.
