See, this is the problem with the health industry! 🤦🏼‍♀️ They are advertising their bowls as being healthy options, yet these bowls range from 420-850 calories!!⠀

Although these bowls are packed with great fruit, you can still gain weight when you eat over your amount of calories each day. It doesn’t matter if it’s 850 calories of fruit! ⠀

And when you think about it, people usually order these bowls for a mid-day treat and then still continue eating as normal the rest of the day. ⠀

I’m not saying to never treat yourself....I love treats! But, you can still overeat “healthy” food and gain weight. Just sayin...⠀

Towards the end of this week I’ve gotten really lazy... not sure if it’s from being busy at work or running my longer run on Wednesday... but I’ve been having a hard time getting in any kind of runs! Anyways, I’m happy is still got in 9.87 miles. ( if I calculated this earlier I would of ran for the 10) 🤷🏼‍♀️

Great Sunday. 
Started with a smootgie-banana, blueberries, chlorellla, hemp powder, water, spinach, flaxseed and fresh aloe vera. 
Ran to the gym (3k), did 60mins legs, bums and tums and ran back. After yummy lunch we went to a park for another short (3k) run with my man for the 1st time. Got home and had a green juice-celery, apples,  ginger,fresh turmeric,lemon and lime. I’m annoyed that my watch had a bit of a melt down mid way through boxing today but hey, I can’t help sweating! I had to partner up with the trainer today and he did NOT go easy on me. Whilst everyone else got to swap between pads and gloves, I was stuck in my own little PT session and boy am I grateful to Patrick for pushing me!

I think my overall calories burned is a little off as only 15 minutes of Fit Box recorded but, the class was an hour long so I’m going to surmise that I burnt well over 1000 calories today!

I had a little NSV today, I managed to grab hold of both feet in stretch! And I didn’t just grab the toes... I got the entire foot! *
It’s the little things that make your day! Anyway, I have Pilates tomorrow and I can’t wait for a good stretch!

Calories: 575

220g New potatoes
5ml Olive oil
2 Eggs
60ml Semi skimmed milk
100g Smoked salmon
110g Asparagus
A large handful of salad leaves

Preheat your oven to 190°C/375°F/gas 5.

Grab a saucepan and fill with boiling water. Place over a medium heat and drop in your sliced new potatoes. Allow these to boil for 5-10 minutes, depending on their thickness, until they are just softening. Then drain and leave to one side.

In a bowl, mix together your eggs, milk, smoked salmon slices and potato with a pinch of salt and pepper. Next, place a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat and add in your olive oil, then pour in the egg mix. Finally, lay your asparagus spears across the top of the frittata and whack it in the oven for 8-10 mins, or until the eggs are cooked through.

Had to take a couple days off to catch my breath cause I have been going so hard, but not only that, I had to find another exercise routine that would work for me because my current one just wasn't doing it. 💧While lifting weights may not leave you dripping in sweat, the amount of effort your body requires to recover AFTER is where you really win!

🌟My biggest suggestion: prioritize strength training first & use cardio for mental health, as a form of self-care or strategically when trying to lose fat.
