This past weekend, I did some digging into the McDonald's nutrition facts to find low calorie and protein-dense choices for my clients- And damn, out of all the restaurants I've searched, this was a hard one. .
.
My criteria was foods that were under 350 calories and had over 15 grams of protein. There were not many but here are some decent ones on the left. .
Having lower calorie choices available in your head can be a lifesaver when it comes to sticking to your goal. Imagine your night-out with friends, lunch with co-workers looking for a quick bite or that time you had those midnight munchies

When we're not prepared, it easy to fall into old habits!

However, the even smarter choice is focusing more on eating whole minimally processed foods often but understanding a little McDonalds is not the end of the world 😁. It's a balanced approach.

While I was at it, I found some popular and high calorie options at McDonalds to show how much calories can be packed into one thing. Great for people who are having trouble gaining weight though! .

The weather and my temperament improved well enough to get out for a healthy walk today. Will be pushing to get to 30 by the end of may perhaps. Gives me 7 months to get the final 70 *grins*

hoy me levanté algo tarde y sólo alcancé a tomar café y, en la U, comí unas galletas de la maquina. (Rex feliz).
de almuerzo: pollo, arroz y verduras cocidas (brócoli y zanahoria) y, de snack, unas mini chips. fue muchísimo pollo, muchísimo almuerzo. 
comí también un vasito de papaya. 
la verdad me he sentido súper mal frente a la comida pero igual intento mantenerme bien. 
hablando de cosas más lindas, hoy tuve práctica de porcinos y aves y, dios, la amé. sobretodo las aves, cargué gallinas y recogimos huevos, agarré ese súper chiquito (como yo) y el profe me dijo que no servía así que lo traje de recuerdo. y ni hablar de los lechoncitos y sus mamás😍

Si hay algo que me ENCANTA es la educación alimentaria 💖 (Por lo mismo soy ayudante de un ramo que finalmente tiene casi todo que ver con eso🙄😂... Planificación♥️)
Creo que muchas veces tenemos claro los alimentos saludables de los no tan saludables o procesados, pero he notado que se repite bastante 1 error...Y es el no conocer la cantidad por la cual podemos intercambiar un alimento del mismo grupo o la cantidad que conforma 1 porción de ese alimento.
Por ejemplo: ✔️ 1 manzana o 10 uvas equivalen a 1 porción de fruta (Aprox 65Kcal), se entiende?🤔
Finalmente es elegir lo que más te guste a tí en la cantidad adecuada para tí😊 
La idea es ir mostrando ilustraciones como estas para que vayan conociendo acerca de las porciones de intercambio y cuando les toque elegir lo hagan de manera informada🤓.
❇️Justamente de eso se trata la nutrición! 💖
 De encontrar el equilibrio, de comer balanceado, variado y sobre todo...pasarlo bien comiendo💖 No hay que privarse de alimentos, hay que saber elegir la porción adecuada☝🏼😊

Première commande depuis, boudu une bonne année facile, besoin d'avoir plus apport nutritionnel donc aussi de compléments depuis que je refais du sport en salle. J'ai de plus en plus souvent la dalle et je mange des conneries en mode coupe faim. Mais faut agir dès à présent. I kickstarted my diet by going to Subway. I cannot stress how much I've been procrastinating because I didn't want to cook. My biggest struggle with food lately is my desire for large volumes of food. There is nothing more un-satisfying than seeing a small slice of quiche on my plate (Sorry, no thanks!). Subway is amazing because their foot longs are huge, I could never finish a whole thing in one sitting! To make it easy, that was gonna be my intake for the day.

Tip: I kept the full sandwich on my plate and didn’t restrict myself to only eating half the sandwich during the first meal. I found that the visual cues of seeing the volume of food helped my brain understand that I wasn’t trying to starve myself. My goal was to only eat until I was full and to keep in mind that I needed to save a meal-worthy part of the sandwich for my next meal!

Dinner tonight was a huge plate of deliciousness 🤤! My mum’s husband made a delicious beef stifado using some meat left over from the BBQ 😍 Had it with rice, Greek salad and some za’atar bread. This may look really odd but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m currently breastfeeding so I need to hit my daily calorie intake and I find that when I track my calories, I’m always under! So I add stuff like the potato waffle to boost up my calories to help my milk supply! This is garlic chicken that’s been pan fried, roasted veggies and potato waffle. Simple and delicious!

I had a breakdown this morning to mum because I know I’m restricting and Easter has been overwhelming, BUT I picked myself up, had my lunch and carried on with my day aha! I have clients doing every type of diet out there. I have some doing keto, some fasting, some doing high carb, more traditional high carb-high protein, vegan, whatever.

All of that doesn’t matter outside of their calories. Whether they are aware of it or not, the amount of food they are eating is LESS than they need to eat a day so as to lose weight. We want to lose fat so we do something’s to help with that too.

Macros, timing, meal composition, GI/GL all mean nearly nothing compared to hitting your calories.

The result of the fridge/freezer cleanout! Stopped @wegmans on the way back from the airport to restock on the goods. Picked up a bunch of strip steaks and bone broth varieties. Hey! Did you ever eat out of a pineapple? Last year I went to Thailand with my bf, there were many restaurants serving food in a pineapple, and I found it really cool, so it was time to try it out myself! A simple rice dish can looks so exciting in a pineapple though 🙈😄

Pineapple(yes, really 😜) Kurkuma, curry powder, salt and pepper 
Cook the rice! Inlay the chicken with the oil, a little bit Kurkuma and a lot of curry powder. Fry it up in a pan. I steamed the veggies and then put it to the chicken. Put everything nicely(I really tried) in the pineapple and voi lá!

Hey! How is your weekend? I just saw that I had 2 small mangos left and some cream cheese in the fridge... so I made my favorite mango dip 😏 
2 small mangos (or 1 normal size) 
150g cream cheese 
1 teaspoon sriracha hot sauce 
Fresh basil 
Chili flakes 
Salt and pepper
Just smash the mango and cut the basil, mix it all together and there you go! So yum 🥰  makes 3 servings ! On the picture I used fresh baked Ciabatta
