Salah | Prayer
Time slips so quietly, so unaware, as a root grows deep and deeper in the ground unseen to your eyes. An ant hole crowds in your mind, adrenaline running from one tunnel to another, wounding you all the tighter. An overbearing presence weighs down onto you, slowly blinding you as clouds surround mountain tops obscuring any sign of an end. On and on and on it goes.
Until you cannot breathe, until you beg to stop, until you break. Your knees knobble under all the brutal weight, your head hung with exhaustion, your heart over racing with screaming urgency. But your soul cries, your voice supplicates for peace. You desire to be filled with the light, love, and mercy of the Sole Provider. And shock overtakes you as your ears hear popping sounds, you eyes see a river of blood, your tongue taste screams of others. Figures fallen around you, as browning leaves flutter down from a strong tree.
And all you can think is not wanting to leave, not without finishing the one obligation you have left long ago. All you can think is to pray before you are prayed upon. What if it is too late? - 9 hours ago
