[invite] Finally went to numnum (I know you’ve already seen this all over Insta) and happy to say that bone marrow fried rice (swipe ) really lived up to the hype The golden honey and spice roasted chicken was another standout dish for me — the meat was so succulent, and the skin crispy and flavourful. We tried quite a few dishes here (also the Dan Dan noodles, twice cooked pork, green curry — more on this in a sec — and dumplings) and these are the two I would absolutely recommend. I was a little confused as numnum is advertised as a Southern Chinese restaurant (see their website), so I wasn’t sure why (Thai) green curry was on the menu. Fusion is fine, but the restaurant could be more clear (especially in light of all the recent press around Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant Lucky Cat).
Anyway, back to numnum: it’s a cute little spot, probably most suited to lunch (was a little quiet on a Friday night). Excellent value as the majority of dishes are around the £7/£8 mark and the portions are huge (just look at that bowl of Dan Dan noodles, which is £7). Lastly, service was excellent! Note: they’re not open on weekends. .
Most dishes around £7/£8
