I saw this post from the @bretcontreras1 (great content give him a follow), and realized how full range of motion, control, and just doing your reps with some awareness and going full-range is important. Look, you can sling some 45’s on the bar all day, wear a belt to look like a WWE champion, and put chalk on your hands like your highschool History teacher, and have the bar bend from all that weight you put on there; and truly not be getting the workout you could be.
Full-Range is key, control is key, awareness is key. It applies the same to a bicep curl if you are going to stand in the squat rack and curl from your belly-button to your boob-line, you have more problems than being able to wipe your .
Anyways, everybody is different in terms of there physiology, do the best you can. Lower the weight, go for control and depth, feeeellll your body. Don’t squat heavy because you see the guy next to you do it. Like Bruce Lee said “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.” Master your form and self, the weight will come, but be patient 🏼Make small measured gains over-time and take care of yourself by not being one of the aforementioned people above!
Cheers & happy lifting, get after to it and get that to when squatting
