3 TIPS FOR A PRODUCTIVE & POWERFUL WEEK
I remember the days when I would spend up to 3hrs in the kitchen each Sunday measuring, weighing and prepping food for the week 😴
It was the ONLY thing I really gave any forethought too. I had my nutrition locked down but then something would come up unexpectedly with the kids, I’d over commit on days when my schedule was already nuts and I end up feeling overwhelmed, exhausted and stress eat!
So really that 3hrs spent prepping was a huge big waste of time.
Since bringing another kid into the mix I’ve always been searching out ways to make healthy as simple AF.
Because I know that as a busy working mum anything that requires me to spend hours in the supermarket, kitchen or gym just is NOT sustainable or realistic.
Ready to feel more productive, in control and organised next week? ……. Cool, then use these 3 tips to plan out your week and you’ll be good to go!
PLAN YOUR DIARY - Try to get as much down on a Sunday as you can. Be clear on your workout day’s/times, meals out, food shopping appointments, travel etc. Get organised so that you approach a new week with structure and clear intentions around what you are doing and when.
PLAN FOR THE CRAZY DAYS - On your busiest days always have Plan B options, don’t try to do “all the things” make it easier for yourself by allowing for a healthy on-the-go lunch, handbag snacks & balanced ready meal dinners. Take the stress out because results are built on consistency not perfection.
PLAN YOUR DINNERS - These days this is about as far as my meal prep goes. I plan dinners which can be bulk cooked and left overs re-heated for lunch the next day, if not I’ll toss together a quick salad. I also use dinner prep time to squeeze in making kids lunches & prepping a few bits for the mornings breakfast. Don’t just look at this as dinner prep, seek out any small tasks to fill dead time and can get ahead of the game.
Out of interest, do you have any routines or rituals or do you just kinda hope for the best and hold on tight?
♀️Hands up, I totally used to be the second category
