There was a time when my weekdays and weekends were spent going out to galas or parties. And I loved every second of it. I could stay up late, get up early in the morning🌞, workout and still make it through the day with tons of energy.
There's a rhythm for every season and my rhythm then was, rock, reggaeton or salsa. Fast paced ALL the time My rhythm right now is more of an acoustic-song-next-to-the-fire type of pace. Or a dance party in my living room. Being a mom, and an entrepreneur things are so different.
Right now, I love cozy nights, wine nights with friends on my terrace and deep conversations. I love introspection and being alone🧘🏼♀️. Where before I craved constant speed and connection now I cherish the moments of quiet as much as the moments of joy with those I love.
But the person who loves to party, who can sing the lyrics to every reggaeton song, who loves dressing up sometimes, adores being social, and having a night out is still in me.
That person hasn't gone anywhere🌞. .
Sometimes we put so much pressure in ourselves to be who we think we should be. But listen to me right now. It's okay for your beat to change!!! It's easy to fall pray to thinking we're in a permanent state. That who we are now is the person we'll be forever. But every stage in life requires a different rhythm. Yours could be hardcore and wild or slow and smooth.
And I think that when we learn to be okay with the rhythm, and the pace of our current journey we can begin to feel true happiness, fulfillment and joy
Balance is an illusion.
Pick the pace that fits your life TODAY Whatever your rithym is right now. Live it until it stops feeling good and when the time comes don't hesitate to change the tune of your life.
I'm sure someday, I'll be ready to step into the high heels again, wear those beautiful long dresses and spend more weekends being social, but there's nothing wrong with embracing the stage that you're in today🦋. If you had to pick a music genre to represent your rithym right now. What would it be? - 9 minutes ago
