Kind of crazy to think that April is almost over!
I haven’t been posting a lot both this month and last, there has been a lot of technical difficulties these past few months and it’s kind of dampened my spirit a bit. As much as I would like May to be the month I bounce back, it likely won’t due to my busy work schedule for the month.
If 2019 has taught me anything, it’s been the importance of reason in difficult, trying, or emotional situations. Before making any rash decisions, take a deep breath, leave it be for an hour or two, and then come back with a clearer mind. No need to make hast.
So I’m reasoning with my April and reasoning with my May. I’m looking at my challenges and instead of focusing on what I can’t do, I’m looking at my possibilities, at the work arounds. And sometimes the solution calls for a pause, whether it be for a day, a week, or a month. Sometimes the solution requires more steps than what would be preferred. Sometimes the solution has always been there in plain sight, but I’ve looked over it time and time again.
2019 has so far felt like a creative blockade. All barriers between me and my creative self have been constructed by circumstance. But times of hardship call for times of strength and I can only hope for my own sake that by the end of 2019 I can look back and see it was about climbing mountains, not trying to move them. .
