️February Favorites Feb. 15️ What do you think of these before & after pics of our townhouse kitchen?
The before pics are from our inspection walk-through before closing. I’m really happy with how it turned out!
We did this whole project for under $3000, including new appliances, butcher block counters, tile floor, new sink & faucet, painting cabinets, new hardware, and new lighting. We had so much help from our great friends & family!! ️️️ We got our appliances during Black Friday sales. The counters are from @lumberliquidators , and I sealed them with @rubiomonocoatusa.
Our awesome friends Cal and @jarhill32 did the scary cutting & fitting of the counters & sink opening, and did a perfect job! I love these counters so much! They are beautiful! I love the huge single-bowl sink & industrial faucet because they are so functional, but pretty too.
Our multi-talented friend @gbfrehner (check out his page) tiled the floor, which was not easy, since it had to be leveled and tied in to the hallway tile.
My sweet parents helped with removing, painting, and reinstalling the baseboards and cabinet doors. My dad installed all the cabinet hardware, and helped me with about a million handyman tasks in this house!
I painted cabinets at night and on weekends for about three weeks, ugh. I did multiple coats, sanded between coats, and sealed them, because I wanted them to hold up well. I used @generalfinishes milk paint, and it is really great paint that goes a long long way.
I still need to do a backsplash, and I’ve been looking at different options forever. I finally decided just to post these pics, because who knows when I’ll get it done!
DIY is so rewarding, and I learn so much every time. Blood, sweat & tears (literally!!) 🏻🏻🏻 #twelvemoondesign #februaryfavorites #kitchenremodel #diyrenovation #homestyle #paintedcabinets #budgetreno #homedesign - 5 days ago
