Yesterday I participated in a running competition, just for fun, I’m not a professional runner; at least I finished the race.
Before leaving home, I took an apple and a bottle water. I didn’t want to spend money on things I already have at home.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to withdraw some cash, so I took my credit card with me. BIG MISTAKE!!!!
Before the race, I felt very hungry and I needed to eat. I really didn't want to faint in the middle of the competition.... Remember I took an apple. But since I had the plastic, why even bother to think a little bit more.
I started looking all around me - My card was with me after all, and it was just for this time - The only place opened was a fast food. With all the guilt, I ordered for fries and a sandwich - JUST BEFORE RUNNING 7KM WITH 11 OBSTACLES (Cost = 6,50 euros)
Then I thought: “oh well the place is not far from the station anymore (I’ve already spent 1h+ in the train) let me take an Uber ( Cost = 9,61 euros )
After the competition, I was not feeling my body anymore. I was so exhausted and wanted to be in my bed right away. Plus, I was feeling like vomiting. I had all the excuses to not take the transport back home hun. You will agree with me!
It ended with me calling an Uber and paying 45 euros to get back home.
Total cost of the day = 61.11 euros ( The math is correct right?)
Money I could have added to my savings for the month. —
You should definitively read why I stopped going out with my credit card. These are the types of expenses I will never make with cash, the very reason why I Divorced my credit card.
