TOP 3 EXERCISES FOR SHOULDER HEALTH by @lb3fitness
🤔When people think about traditional shoulder exercises, their minds usually go to one of two places: presses, or raises
🏻The thing about these exercises, is they work the anterior (front) and lateral (side) of the shoulder, which are two places that tend to be overused and overworked already.
🤙🏻When I talk about shoulder work, I am talking about the back of the shoulder. The rear deltoids are small postural muscles on your upper back.
🧠Strengthening these postural muscles will not only help your posture (ya dont say?!?!?), they will help your form, help your lifts, and help your shoulder health in the long term
My fav 3 are:
Y-T-W: can be done standing, laying down on a bench, or even lying on the floor. The name is based on the position of your arms
Band pull aparts: These are AMAZING, and you literally can’t do too many of them. I do these every day. Do them more.
Face pulls: either with bands, ropes, cables, or whatever apparatus you have access to. From standing ,kneeling or half kneeling.
Start integrating these into your warmups/workouts, and watch your shoulder health improve!
