Chest day today! Managed 8 reps at 40kg again. So so so happy. Though first time I tried to get it I only managed 3 but totally failed, had a bit of a rest and then hit 8 reps again. It’s amazing what a bit of rest can do! I was already pretty tired because I’d done:
15 reps @ 20kg
12 reps @ 30kg 2 sets 
12 reps @ 37.5kg (first video)
3 reps @ 40kg (second video)
8 reps @ 40kg 😍🥰😍
Also did incline dumbbell chest press which is one of my fav exercises!

Some at 10 and 12kg
6 @ 14kg (forth video)
Need to work on those 14kg! I got my new program too and I can’t wait to get started.

Ville känna på 80kg i bänken och det var tungt. Mycket tankar angående tävlingen men jag ska anmäla mig dit, ska verkligen försöka.

Sedan testade jag knäböj idag med lite tips av @emilsalmela och av videon ser jag att jag skulle nog behöva stå lite smalare med fötterna tror jag. Knät känns bra dock och det var inga smärtor under eller efter lyften! Körde väldigt lätt.

▶️Hola compañeros! Muchos de vosotros habréis oído hablar de las roturas de ligamento cruzado anterior de rodilla. Es una lesión muy típica en deportes que implican cambios de dirección y aterrizajes a una pierna (Ej.: fútbol, baloncesto, rugby...).
.
📊Existen factores de riesgo ante este tipo de lesión que podemos modificar mediante tratamiento con ejercicio. Entre ellos encontramos:
1️⃣Ratio fuerza y activación cúadriceps/isquio.
2️⃣Reclutamiento de los glúteos.
3️⃣Estabilidad lateral del core.
4️⃣Rotación interna de cadera.
5️⃣Colapso medial del pie-tobillo (rotación tibial, dorsiflexión, arco plantar...).
6️⃣Fuerza de reacción vertical del suelo.
7️⃣Ángulo de flexión de rodilla durante los gestos.

Finally broke 315 with my bench! Admittedly, my form could have been a lot better, and wouldn’t have been counted at an official meet, (#BuildingTheCastle one arm at a time 😆) but I'm still feeling pretty good. I'm thankful that the only muscle I tore was my jaw when I yawned like a dork this morning 😵 Do you ever get those savage cramps when you open your mouth too wide?

Tirsdag = overkrop, og overkrop betyder Bæææænkpreeeess!🎉 og det her ☝🏻 er en af de øvelse på overkrops programmet, som jeg er ret fan af!😅😅 Kroppen er stadig godt tværet ud efter #polarevolutionrace i lørdags, så der blev kørt med lav vægt under dagens træning! #DynamicStretching prior to training has been shown to improve performance [1,2]. The question is though, how dynamic should dynamic stretching be?

Well a recent study had subjects do either fast or slower calf raises before various tests [5]. FYI, bodyweight calf raises before weighted calf raises is technically a #DynamicWarmUp; just like bodyweight squats would be prior to barbell squats, or just like pretending to bench press a bar (benching the air). The difference is, normally we do other stuff too, like arm circles or leg swings etc.

Nonetheless, the slower cadence possibly had larger increases in muscle stiffness (a good thing), maybe because fast velocities aren’t as specific to the velocity achieved with normal lifting? For example, 80% squats aren’t going to move ALL that fast.

Point is, dynamic stretching is almost a must do before training. But it doesn’t have to be done super fast nor aggressively. Use good form in whatever movement you’re doing and use a normal cadence.
_
That said, if you feel like dynamic stretching alone isn’t enough, you can always use a foam roller (or a massage roller) on a “tight” muscle; as this has been shown to improve range of motion without altering performance capabilities [3,4]. Plus if you ask me it feels pretty good 😂 #strengthguide

Undulating periodization is simply a based on an alternation between intensity and volume to prevent your body from adapting to the stress. It is based on the researches done by HANS SEYLE on GAS (general adaptation syndrome), GAS explains the way your body restor itself to balance when faced with stressors (in this case training). In this type there is different variation of stressors (strength, hypertrophy, power…) to keep the progress without letting your body to fully adapt to those stressors and thus causing stagnation in your workouts, all this while accounting for the recovery needed. The undulating program is either presented on day to day basis (DUP) or weekly (WUP), where you alternate between volume, and intensity, divided into 4 phases; light phase (light high reps), generally considered as active rest days where you just recover from your last microcycle, the moderate phase(hypertrophy), the heavy phase (strength), and the power phase. You can add a very heavy phase where you try and hit new RM.  The main advantage of this type is the adaptation of your neuromuscular system, but it can cause too much stress if no improvements or inaccurate adaptation occurred

1. Double Rope Pushdowns, I use 2 ropes better range of motion, plus can stand abit further back which is just personal preference, try and hit 8-12 reps for 4 set. Moderate weight.
2. Straight Bar Pushdowns heavy weight we trynna overload the triceps, now that the blood is pumping. I go for 10-15 reps for 4 sets.
3. Dumbbell Overhead Extensions, try have your elbows locked in and fully bring the dumbbell down to get a good stretch in the long head of your tricep. 8 reps for 3 sets.
4. I superset the cable extensions with overhead rope extensions. I try focus on getting the maximum extension on both exercises and very slow reps with the OH rope extensions. 10 reps on both for 4 sets. Forgot to record the overhead extensions but🤷🏾‍♂️
